Stepping out of the portal Savaj had so graciously provided Teralok would be faced with a huge volcano right before him, stepping out Teralok's eyes would be filled with the sight of this thing and as his other foot touched the ground he would feel a portion of it as well. The portal behind him snapped shut and Teralok took a breath filling his lungs with the heated air of this landscape, he was looking for a tomb per say, he shouldn't start at the top of the volcano, what kinda burial would that be. Teralok began circling the huge circumference of this boiling kettle of land, looking it up and down with his eyes as well as feeling the ground with his chakra and presence, getting to know the volcano before he delved to rob the key from beneath. He would prefer not to disturb the great beast by finding an entrance instead of making his own, it might've taken some time however but Teralok figured it was worth it so he took his time.

After a bit of walking around the huge molten bowl of lava he felt a hollowness of the ground somewhere before him, pausing only a second to wonder, he kept forward, his footsteps pounding echoes of chakra through the ground only to return to him with the information and knowledge of the ground beneath him. The hollowness slowly filled out to turn out be a tunnel, so far as Teralok could make out and as he slowly came above the area he realized that's exactly what it was, and it continued off into the distance. This was perhaps the tunnel that connected the key and the actual shrine, mayhaps Teralok would find as he rose his foot to stamp on the ground a bit getting an even greater feel for it. He took a look up to the top of the volcano as his body exumed the dirt beneath him and after a while he simply fell through, landing heavily into the dark tunnel which with the very motion gave him a layout of this portion of the tunnel. At least enough to know that there was quite a heavy door before him in the direction of the volcano, enough to absorb and stop his sense from proceeding any further. His head raised as the door came into his 'view' and took forward the steps needed to reach it.

The door didn't budge. It stood tall and intimidating before the white haired intruder.

Teralok had only just sensed the door had done nothing to provoke it's movement and as he approached the seemingly heavy door he inspected it, with each footstep grew a better understanding of the working of this door. Finally stopping before the door he placed his hand upon the door, perhaps because he felt some connection with it even if it was only because it held secrets to the Earth Shrine. With his hand touching the door he would scoure through himself searching for the reason he had approached the door so calmly, why he didn't bring himself to bursting down this hindrance after he stepped forward and had felt through its inner workings. His hand would lay still upon the door until he stumbled upon something inside himself that reverberated with a word within his most recent memory, Gaia, he let chakra flow through his palm to click and clang through the door manipulating the earth within it in ways even he didn't understand quite yet.

For a moment, the massive gateway harmonized with Teralok's familiarity. His chakras flowing through it triggered gentle quakes and tremors that reverberated from this underground bunker all the way to naturally fragile core of Terra-Volcanus. The door responded to Teralok by sharing a donation of its own chakras; a golden spark traveled from every one of its square inches and channeled into him- jolting him where stood. The intensity of the of the hazardous invitation may have been to much for Teralok to handle, but once he extended his chi in such a careless way, things were bound to get out of hand.

The shared chakra blasted through Teralok's body instantly equalizing itself to flow equally throughout his body glowing from the point of entry flowing through his body to every square inch. From his arm it spread in a wave going through his chest up into his head and down to his legs, it replenished that little bit of chakra and much, much more. The golden chakra spread through Teralok's head, glistened through his eyes, and buckled through his knees. It revealed to him a chakra he'd been missing in all of his search through the ground beneath him, the chakra seemed to static through his hair making it gleam with a never before seen shine, this natural, sennin, chakra seemed to enlighten his body with it's presence.

The glow reached the edges of his being glowing with a flash of light before it expunged itself with a soft whoomf as the chakra left in a emp like burst and diffused through the air. The chakra then reached back to the door and alit it with the chakra the came from his body, the light quickly spread to cover the surface area of the door as Teralok took a small step back catching himself, shocked from the experience.

The doors woooshed open, kicking up some smog and soot that wafted through the newly revealed molten corridor. The walls and bedrock seethed volcanoc emissions that threatened the well being of any wishing to encroach any further. The poisionous atmosphere, crossed with the matter disolving streams of magma warped this endeavor into quite the trying vicissitude.

Gaining his balance Teralok opened his eyes with a shaken perspective of the earth beneath him, he had always looked at it as simply matter and perhaps a tool, never had he suspected it had energy and could very well be a partner. The soot and smog blasted inward, the cold air outside the door rushing to the previously hidden fiery source, nearly ushering Teralok through the doors. He took a few rushed steps forward before fully coming into focus about the experience and countering the wind, hair blowing furiously forward into his view, he looked gloriously at the molten rock falling on each side dividing a perfectly lit corridor. He made his way into it a bit distracted in his thoughts and the eyeful of the wonderful volcanic sight.

(Sorry about the wait, it's academic season..)

Should Tera be immune to poisonous volcanic emissions, he would experience a literally heart pounding sensation. Palpitating within the unseen molten cave grounds was an anomoly that resonated with Teralok with every step he took- jolting his heart with a similar golden embrace. His innate relationship with Gaia excited the unknown entity, causing it to reach out for his chi as it did before. Only this time the volcanoic vibrations weren't nearly as volatile.. His essence had already been evaluated, he was welcomed to venture closer.

Immune isn't quite the word for it, but as Teralok began to walk past the displacement of cold air and delved into the ash, soot, and oveall toxic air that would pervade the inside of a volcano it would settle on and around his skin and would disappear at its touch. His skin would be left unmarred by the ash and be absorbed and metabolized by the very same process that he used to gather and hold all the other minerals in his body. However this was simply his nature and he walked down the corridor completely unawares of the properties of the air around him, instead his mind was entangled in the source of this strange sensation he felt pound through him as he walked forward.

"hmm?..."

He questioned with a slightly downward casting glance, not looking at anything in particular but noticing that there was something that pervaded the entire area with this same energy, his chakra began to become entangled with it as he became aware of it and as it flowed through the ground he continued to trek forward between the falling magma that surrounded him. Teralok was a bit entranced and caught up more in his sensation through the very ground than that which his eyes could behold, but his steps never ceased as long as they could go forward.

At long last Teralok would have reached his destination. The fiery corridor had lead him into a chamber whose walls seemed unconnected to the mighty volcano. The prominent overflow of magma and inferno grew more and more subtle as Teralok advanced until eventually the streams were damed altogether. Consequently, the majority of the chamber had been cloaked in a nightshade without the volcano's pulsing blaze to illumimate its penetralia. However, not to far was an independently burning golden sphere, providing this hidden temple with a modest yet appropriate hue. The tremers he felt would expedite should he come further, it conveyed no hostile signs.

His footsteps continued their rhythm as he steadily moved forward, he hadn't been originally bothered by the blazing falling magma but its heat he had grown a bit accustomed to. Once they faded into the background, and its heat left Teralok's skin, he felt only a twinge as his attention was swayed from the flowing energy beneath him, and the change in atmosphere was made up for by the sudden revelation of the golden orb in the middle of some huge unforeseen dome. Teralok must have been deeply entranced because once he came to the entrance to this dome he stood in its entry puzzled, eyes faltering off the globe that seemed to be the source of the flowing energy he'd been following, or at least have much to do with it, but now he sought for his chakra to echo throughout the darkness of the dome as he stepped forward into it.

This globe however begged for most of his attention and his earlier entrancement still held true his eyes jetted back to the globe repeatedly between his glances into the dark 'corners' of the the circular area, he proceeded to the globe but much slower, like a cautious deer that had found the most precious flower. So Teralok felt through the darkness, caution bubbling from his deepest thoughts knowing, feeling, that something, whatever this energy might've belonged to, would not let him just wander in to marvel in it.

Would he take it? If not, the golden glow would do nothing more than yield a pretty lightshow, and make his heart thump quickly.

With his heartbeat quickening he finally approached the golden glowing globe, and with the glow cast upon his face he raised his hands to finally grab a hold of the globe. Upon contact he felt the immense power and energy the globe held within it. He gazed in wonder, his eyes reflecting the golden glow eerily well.

Upon interacting directly with the golden orb, its gaseous and cloud like texture would become more physically apparent. It's seismic energies instantly rubbed off and through Teralok instantly upon conact, oscillating him with its golden influence. However, things seemed to head south rather quickly- starting with the shimmering key of the Earth Shrine.

In moments its thermo-nuclear fusion would reach critical levels, destablizing at its core. Its rather peaceful glow would become erratic and volatile, with the entirety of the Terra-Volcanus corresponding with the sudden geological shift. Should nothing be done, the core would be terminated.. And the immediate Volcanic region would collapse right ontop of him.

As soon as the he touched the cloud of energy and it acknowledged his presence by flowing through him with fluid subtlety he finally got a thorough feel for the energy. Teralok got a feel for it and they mixed through Teralok's body like a mixing of juices instead of a mixing of rocks like they had been before, he FELT it powering through him as part of himself and and as it reached his feet it kept going, shuddering through the ground as his chakra mixed with the seismic energies for a powerful seizure of control as it powered through the ground.

Teralok felt the thermo nuclear energy powering through the volcano and grimaced as it threatened the very room he stood in, but it was powerful, he could feel all through the ground all he wanted but if it exploded he didn't have anything to control. He looked down at the impending energy he felt powering through the ground then up as he sensed all the seismic activity that was flowing thoughout this mountain... volcano. Maybe this shrine was pinning the energy down that was supposed to be flowing out of the top. Definitely, this energy had enough control and was powerful enough to pin an inumerable amount of things down.

He felt through the seismic energies that surrounded him with the delicate fingers of the energy the shrine itself had given to him. Teralok would have loved to help preserve this temple as it would be a great momento but as the energy flowed into him he began to wonder what exactly could be left of significance in this place. He summised with his senses that there were indeed nothing and if they were any little treasures they would be buried deep once Teralok was out. To actually complete that task Teralok used the very energy that flowed throughout the shrine to seek to counter the very seismic energies that caused the place to shake. He focused on this task seeking to hold the explosion off with his very footsteps, pounding his will into the ground as he padded his way out, much less cautiously than he came in I might add but not quite running so as not to fumble his focus and cause very volcano to explode where he stood. Rhythmically he made his way out, starting a full out run once he escaped the encampment of the dome. Teralok was no enemy of the heat but he feared the very explosion could cause irrepairable damage. As he began running the very ground seemed to lend its land more the countering his sprint propelling him into long strides as he made his way back along the tunnel he came though.

Channleing the power of the golden treasure was smart, but the lacked the necessary technique. Escaping and fending off the seismic outbursts simuntaneously would work only for so long, almost immediately demanding Teralok's complete focus and immbolization should he truly attempt to accomplish what a runic, ritualistic altar had maintained over countless a millennia.

The pressure raining down and virtually all around him may very well crushed him should he be locked in this struggle any longer than mere moments. The heat within fuuming throughout the corridors had expedited exponentially, wafting into the chamber and boasting intensities that threatened to push the child's confidence to its limits. Every creature had a boiling point, and every man had their breaking points..

By removing the mystical artifact from its position Teralok had been unconsciously cursed with its task. Unless he could find a way to duplicate the energy source or put it back, the boy would be damned to hold the Tera-Volcanus up himself. He could consider himself a new Atlas in the Vescrutian books of mythic fools.-

It seems Teralok had replaced the energy that had pinned the cataclysmic energy down and he could risk barely a step without losing the focus need to pin that very energy down. He was stuck, without the bearings needed to handle both his escape and the withholding of the energy he could not escape this fiasco. Teralok stood there focused, arms drooped at his sides as his focused peaked.

Savaj... I am in a terrible predicament

Teralok though the connection that they shared, sharing only the slightest thought to accomplish. Teralok didn't spare another footstep however, defeated by his pride. He needed the energy he had as the key to the shrine that was his ultimate goal, so to his perception he was very stuck where he was not sparing an ounce else to hold back the energies that threatened to crush him for his escape.

..No worries, I got you.

-Savaj's soft voice whispered into Teralok's head, almost slowing time to a standstill while he and Tera communicated.-

Have you located the key?

I've taken whatever was holding this place together... it better be the key.

Teralok thought to Savaj with a hurry.

Good.. now eat it.

-Savaj said plainly. Admittedly, he had planned this from the beginning, intentionally sending Teralok of all people because of his history, power, and capabilities. Should he ingest the legendary generator of power, Teralok would be gifted with all of the seismic energies that once pumped through the Tera-Volcanus.

It would make seizing control of the molten hot magma mountain not necessarily easy, but definitely possible for the young shinobi. It would have technically made Teralok the new key to the Earth Shrine's Chamber of secrets, while simultaneously saving his life.-

And calm this volcano down before you finish up. Don't need anybody catching onto us.

-He chuckled.. as if he'd missed the urgency of this call and situation. But by eating the golden sphere, Tera would have all the power he needed to wrap this mission up himself. A dark corridor would open a few feet behind him, ready for extraction to the next destination.-

Teralok was a bit suprised at Savaj's suggestion, not that it wasn't impossible or even improbable for him to do so but that he knew of how to further Teralok's own abilities and that he hadn't thought of it himself. After the command the golden energy he had so regularly absorbed seeped out of his skin and even flowed out of the ground around him as he opened his mouth. It began to focus there before it slid down his gullet fluidly with his effort, instantly Teralok began to literally digest the energy and he understood it, learned from it and was further empowered by it. With the slightest bit swallowed he began to divert more focus to the effort and less to the less to the withholding of the cataclysmic force. But this was only because he now had the ability himself to hold that force down. Once finished and Teralok's mouth snapped shut he closed his eyes and the dome shuddered slightly, he had begun to lock the earth beneath him seizing it's seismic energies and reversing them, driving that thermo-nuclear force back under submission. Then with an low exhale and a look around he slid backwards towards the corridor, not moving a physical muscle and disappeared with the snapping shut of the dark corridor.

Thanks, extracting now.
