“ In a world where fairies may very well exist, I should think their tales bear some probable cause"

Dazuma said leering over his diagram
. Misha and Hughes faced him, equally contemplative. Misha again looking skeptical into the eyes of her new friend Bo, who appeared to regularly suffer fits of extreme poise and diction. Like he was talking infant of massive amounts of people.
Dazuma thought back to the times where his father read him bedtime stories. Bestiary on all kinds of beast large and small. The lore around different said to be mythological. But everything about Bo's own lineage was shrouded in such an expression. Jyn...
"I believe the Pillars will rise..."

He said gripping his pen, his eyes glinting with a serious gleam.
Misha nodded, Hughes only responded with a chuckle. There was something to these two that he didn’t see in anyone else among the masses of those he lectured to. Everyone who he had spoken with before just wanted to learn, these wanted to learn and do something with their knowledge. Maybe they were the ones he saw… in that vision.
The destruction of Kemet was a mere sign? Dazuma couldn’t believe it. Things that the horseman was capable of on mere whims. It was not something he could stuff in his subconscious. His brow furrowed with determination, he rose from his seat.

" Though despair and darkness might seek to enfold me, I will tear through with Lucio in my heart and Umina in my hand..."

A mantra that had been passed down through the house of Ri'ore. A banter of courage, a call of victory and perseverance. Dazuma might have been somewhat of an idealist when it came to how he viewed things. But he truly believed that holding fast to one's sense of hope was the key to overcoming all adversity. Even one as foreboding as the Horsemen. He looked to Misha and gave a warm smile then back to Hughes.
Who were looking upon Dazuma rather inquisitively. This figure Bo was peculiar indeed.

"We have hope, as empty as that may sound it is the one thing that Vescrutia has always dared to do, to make the impossible possible. Is this not the goal of every Scholar? To touch the face of things unknown?"
“You are correct Bo, but could you sit down? My documents…”
A fire was gurgling inside him.
Misha scrambled among the floor to pick up the delicate diagrams and papers in Hughe’s possession. What had gotten into her friend? He showed no signs of stopping.
"Darkness will always be met with a light, The Pillars have no choice but to erupt to meet what is fated, wielding Hope like a blade, an explosion of liberating chaos to destroy the Horsemen's draconian order."

Dazuma drifted towards days of living under his brothers rule. The totalitarian ways of a monarchy. The overwhelming sense of duty to go and claim knowledge that would lead to gifting him with usurping and ending that system. He had to be the one ...he was the Only one that deserved that honor. His Birthright.
Suddenly Dazuma realized that he wasn’t looking at Hughes, Misha, or the Neovian Arcadium anymore. He was looking upon Vescrutia from space. Watching the suns and moons dance around the mother planet in a celestial waltz.

“You remind me…”

A voice called out to him, familiar and foreign. As the cosmic entities spun faster and faster a flash of light flooded Dazumas vision as Vescrutia regarded him by name.

“Dazuma, it is not secret that you are destined for great purpose. Like 42nd Pillar you walk the path of the Recorder. It’s time to uncover the truth. And it begins with a single question…”

And like that he was back…

"Counselor, do you think there would be any places spanning back 20,000 years to deal with nomadiac lightning mages?"

The Denkou had no recorded access to their lives during the second Astral Year a time period where they still walked the face of the Mother barefoot across her expanse longing for a place to root themselves. How was it that such a long-standing kingdom not have awareness of its beginnings. They would have him think that life started with the Emerald King. But he knew this not to be true. It was one of the few gems of the pre-golden age of Denkou truth he held with him. The secrets gnawed at him, what was he ignorant of?
“Bo… sit down! You’re acting strange.”

Misha whispered, she was looking upon Dazuma like he was… well… crazy. Talk of the end of times suddenly caused this man to stand from his seat? What was going on. Hughes on the other hand paid it no mind, he appeared far too obsessed with the organized chaos of his documents.

“Oh, there are many nomadic tribes across the planet. There is however group hard at work who’s putting together an anthology of the Nomadic Cultures of Vescrutia. I forget their names, one of them never stops drawing in their sketch book. A group of promising young students truly, perhaps you could ask them the natures of your discovery. My speciality is astronomy.”

Misha nearly got up from her seat too. She couldn’t believe it to come full circle like this.

“Wait… counselor you said-“

“That my specialty is astronomy? Yes I’m not that much of a historian but-“

“No, the students who are studying what Bo is. There’s three of them right? One with tattoo’s on his forearms? One that never stops drawing? Bo…”

She turned to face Bo who could only understand the implications of what she was thinking. The students they just met were the alleged experts in Bo’s field of inquiry.

Suddenly Dazuma realized that he wasn’t looking at Hughes, Misha, or the Neovian Arcadium anymore. He was looking upon Vescrutia from space. Watching the suns and moons dance around the mother planet in a celestial waltz.
As he stood amongst the stars of the milky way he saw something the likes of which he only conceived in his dreams. Giants celestial bodies dwarfing him millions of times over drifting past him. His heart almost stopped before he could even fully grasp what had happened a voice echoed from the deepest reaches of space.
“You remind me…”
He flinched his eyes darting over the place. All he could feel was the spontaneous flame of ambition constantly flourishing within him, bustling, seething, crackling something was aroused.
“Dazuma, it is not secret that you are destined for a great purpose. Like, 42nd Pillar, you walk the path of the Recorder. It’s time to uncover the truth. And it begins with a single question…”
'Who...Recorder?"

Before he could even reach out to confront this absurdity he was back standing in front of Hughes and Misha. He was stuck for a few seconds until her heard Misha voice. His eyes shifted to her and he saw her worried and even embarrassed look. He raised his left hand placed it near his mouth coughing lightly a few times he sat down and finish asking the counselor his question.
“Oh, there are many nomadic tribes across the planet. There is however group hard at work who’s putting together an anthology of the Nomadic Cultures of Vescrutia. I forget their names, one of them never stops drawing in their sketchbook. A group of promising young students truly, perhaps you could ask them the natures of your discovery. My specialty is astronomy.”
"Wait...one of them wears glasses and has a tacky scarf?"

Shots fired he didn't care, he really didn't like that guy and the fact that those louts were gonna possibly be linked to him gaining understanding reaaaaally ground his gears. He looked back to Misha the disgust for what they were being told defly was mutual.

"Girl we're thinking the same thing,"

He said with an empathetic sigh. This was gonna urk his soul to have to do, but what was at stake, the discovery of a lifetime could not be forestalled by his petty feelings, especially when he held the tongue capable of calming armies.

"Who are they? Some kind of conglomerate?"

The 42nd pillar, the Recorder. Who was that speaking to him, Was...was that Vescrtuia herself? The mother...no...but if not her who? He felt an almost instinctual need now to find the links to the past. These idiots must've has been good if Hughes was speaking of them so highly.

“You two are VERY new here aren’t you? Those three are members of the Intelligentsia. One of the student clubs here.”

Hughes casually remarked while looking at his watch. He startled a bit and began to gather his papers. Sensing the urgency, Misha helped out as well kneeling down out of her chair slowly and helped the old owl collect his documents. She, like Bo were both incredibly green behind the ears as the way things were ran around here. There were student groups? Hughes almost seemed to smell their confusion. He stood up straight, adorned in different watches and bags containing scrolls and novels looking more mailman than scholar but if he beak could allow it, he was certainly smiling at the education he was about to give these two.

“Come come walk with me I’ll explain along the way, you two just walked into the most cutthroat competition for knowledge and information this side of The Mother.”

He started out of the lecture hall, walking on his taloned feet rater then flying. Misha followed suit with her notebook ready to learn all she could about where she and her new friend Bo stood in this carnivorous world of study.

Dazu was mad irritated that this is what it was going to come to in order to get his feet wet in the world of discovery before him. Bt the passion that Hughes spoke with and the fervent flushes of excitement that frequently ran across Misha's face had softened his heart to the idea of possibly having to link up with these "Intelligentsia" quacks. Dazuma had been here for a little over a month and from that time had already caught a whiff of the thick smell of academic warfare happening around him. Folks of all kind of background saw this place as the hub for branching out into the world and fisking for the myriad of secrets the Mother held within her. Initially, he hadn't the desire to engage in any of their petty scholarly squabbles. He had an agenda long before coming here. But, something now burned within him, a passion to know, a desire to discover the truth. After all this time he finally had a possible lead, he wouldn't allow his irritation from earlier prevent him from finding the gateway to his peoples lost past. He knew needed to lean on a fact his people taught him at a very young age, that power of community. Hughes, however, was about to lay the smackdown in terms of breaking down just what this place was about and the seeming faction race for greatness they had stumbled into.

"Intelligentsia huh?"

He said as they started walking out of Huges space and back into the fray. Students rushed by trying to get to their next class, some stod on the side and marveled at Hughes. He really was quite the source of inspiration to many of the students here. Dazu could feel the intensity of this places admiration for all he contributes to the institution.

"Student Clubs? We have those?!"

He was getting excited, that explained why the hell there were so many lil cliques and such competing against each other. Favor be to Rai, he never thought he'd be in a space like this. He always figured he would be trapped within his homeland doomed t repeat the same cycle of repetitious royal expectation. Living in a land of empty rhetorics. But Neovia...it was starting to really grow on him.

He nodded to some and smiled at others.
He really was quite the source of inspiration to many of the students here. Dazu could feel the intensity of this places admiration for all he contributes to the institution.
Misha thundered close behind, walking in the midst of Hughes made her walk so incredibly tall and confident almost taking up more space than before with her shoulders pulled back and a streak of confidence among her teeth. For once people were looking at her with admiration, she stuck out alright but because she was in a position of favor. She, Hughes and Bo walked beneath breezeways, as the setting suns warmed Misha’s furry arms, cast the right side of her body in shadow. Hughes seemed to relax a bit now that they had transitioned to a more secluded portion of the Aracdium where they were seeing more Destati, and less student body. They nearing an entirely separate building connected by the breezeway that appeared to be a series of offices by the abundance of doors in such close proximity to one another and the shining golden name plates upon them.

“Now the students clubs.”

Misha’s ears perked and Hughes stopped. It appeared this was the end of theirier tour. She could sense Bo was also ready to face their next group of adversaries and pay back the intelligentsia for barring access to equal education.
“Student Clubs? We have those?!"

“There are way too many to count. Nearly one for every realm of study. But you can bet your life they are all trying to make the next biggest find in that field. They also consider themselves resident experts, have written numerous essays and have contributed literature. Not to mention most of them have found very inventive ways to combine their Anthems should they feel threatened by competition. You two are just beginning here, I sense a fire in you but be careful, the intelligentsia in particular have known to be incredibly ruthless to those they feel intellectually inferior.”

Misha let the words impress themselves upon her, up until now Hughes seemed to be so kind and warm and now he was issuing a warning sounding much like the destati. How could they let these ‘clubs’ persist like this? Unless the intelligentsia was very skilled in keeping their deeds off campus grounds.

Dazumas gaze stayed fixated on Hughes a different club for each field f study? That was Ludacris. Was Neovias intelligence division alone that expansive? This was borderline madness, for the first time in a while he felt like a guppy in an ocean full of sharks. It was disheartening for the formerly resplendent noble. But in that, he found a silver lining though thin as it may be it yielded a bright side. An advantage. What shark craves a meal it deems not worth devouring. The intelligentsia viewed he and his Friend Mira as inferior. Yet in that line of thinking they were gravely, horribly mistaken. This is where he excelled, learning, devising and absorbing. Filtering a pathway towards a higher understanding. Though he'd scarcely admit it there was something about this danger, a thrilling almost gratifying sensation simmering inside him. Dazuma had known only temporary spouts of resistance or challenge. Though he has had to work several times harder than his brother born with their birthrights even his genealogy alone gave him an upper hand. This with the higher tier discipline he was molded into the type of noble who could very well defend his kingdom from the front lines. But here...there was a field that though similar he had never faced. Thier was nothing here simply being given to him, he would earn every stamp on his own. He wanted to purpose something to Misha. But after being told about his spacing out he didn't want to keep raising her eyebrows. But...

"They strategized their individual anthem use. Accounted for the fallacies as well to cover their back ides and avoid slipping up no doubt as well..."

He smirked

"Intelligentsia indeed"

He appreciated the warning, he caught wind of it same as Misha. However it only admonished him further to indulge. What was a ruler that had no knowledge of the real world? How could a king usher in true change for his people if he knows not how to stir his own ship, to create his own pathway. A King ought to know how to conquer

"Hey, Misha..."

He exclaimed after the Counselor finished. His eyes were riming with an underlining determination that he prayed was not off-putting or strange to her. But he could not deny the urge within him that told him how to lay the next brick on his path. If Misha felt the same if she too could see their potential they could really begin to take the institution by storm. They alone, for now, but through their accomplishments more will join their cause. He had to ask...

"Do you think, Do you think we could create our own club?"

He knew he was being upfront but he believed in her energy, her aura proved true to her character. Kind, virtuous and knowing the power of bonds. They would be merging their purposes, conjoining their narratives. But with this unshackling yet anther notch of their overall potential would be manifest. He aimed to know to touch the lands undefiled. His narrative demanded it, his core would make it so. His curly brown locks shyly fell to the side as his head leaned to the side after asking feeling a bit embarrassed. It was almost like he was asking her to be his friend. Dazuma pondered whether he's ever had to ask that before...

"They strategized their individual anthem use. Accounted for the fallacies as well to cover their back ides and avoid slipping up no doubt as well..."
“Yes yes they certainly are a very talented bunch, they’re nearly inseparable the three of them, with impeccable behavioral records.”

Hughes hooted. Misha scoffed and reflected upon their confrontation with the Intellegentisa, they were certainly coordinated and calculating. She wondered if, when it inevitably came to blows outside of the Arcadium would she and Bo be able to match their synergy? Would the Intelligentsia kill them if they couldn’t? There was a sudden pang in her heart, as if someone slipped a needle into her artery. Was she nervous? Scared? Certainly a combination of them both. As she looked at Bo, he seemed so charged with inspiration and drive, much like her warg kin who would never back down from a fight. It seemed there was no escaping altercation no matter what field she stepped into.
"Hey, Misha..."
“Hm?”
He exclaimed after the Counselor finished.
Misha was caught a little off guard, it was as if Bo could smell her trepidation. As she continued to look at Bo she saw how...
He had to ask…

"Do you think, Do you think we could create our own club?"
“I- Bo?”

Misha turned her shoulders a big off axis, disarmed by the request. She couldn’t say she was surprised, but she was caught off guard all the time. Bo was so unapologetic but still very kind it was as if he was piercing through her, and that...
He knew he was being upfront but he believed in her energy, her aura proved true to her character. Kind, virtuous and knowing the power of bonds. They would be merging their purposes, conjoining their narratives. But with this unshackling yet anther notch of their overall potential would be manifest. His curly brown locks shyly fell to the side as his head leaned to the side after asking feeling a bit embarrassed. It was almost like he was asking her to be his friend. Dazuma pondered whether he's ever had to ask that before...
“Why I highly recommend you all do! I encourage it. However, no one is going to join with just anyone. You would need to make some sort of discovery first. Stake your claim in the field. Then I will sponsor you all’s application to be an official organization.”

A recommendation from Counselor Hughes?! How often did a club get an official letter of recommendation from one of the most revered minds in all of Neovia? With the afternoon sun in it’s highest point, it burned into the hair on Mishas back causing her to perspire all to nervously. She took out a handkerchief from her pack and dabbed it on her forehead.

“Why, counselor Hughes I-”

“Nonsense nonsense. There’s something about you too. Something, I can feel it.”

What was that thing Hughes felt? Misha didn’t nearly feel it herself. It felt as if she was grasping at something ephemeral. Her determination and cunning were fleeting, circumstantial. But her thirst for knowledge endured. This had to be the first step toward proving her family wrong about her.

“I- Well… Yes, Bo yes!”

“Spectacular. Now I have a meeting momentarily. I surely wish we could tour the rest of the gorounds but, when you’ve been elevated to my station you hardly get the chance to do research, you just spend time in these damnable meetings! I will look forward to hearing from you all after your big discovery!”

“Yes yes they certainly are a very talented bunch, they’re nearly inseparable the three of them, with impeccable behavioral records.”
On his face would be a slight smirk. The kind of smirk that could be read as "impeccable? sure...". In his mind it was more likely the twerps bullied folks into telling them not to tarnish their standing by going to the deans. His eyes though stayed on Misha as she fumbled over his question. He knew it to be sudden but he could not, would not allow this spark of vigor to die out. She was knowledgeable. She was worldly and he could think of know better companion to start this venture with.

Yes, a discovery indeed

He thought to himself as he waited for Misha's response.. He already had an inkling of what he was searching for. Some kind of relic or trinket from the past. Though not just any past, but one tethered to a history long forgotten and one that was seldom known to begin with. The History of the Nomadic Denkou.
“I- Well… Yes, Bo yes!”
His face was stricken with glee and a tinge of surprise. His first bond outside the Kingdom. He wondered what they could accomplish together. What they could become. Aside from this though, and most importantly what wonders they could stumble across. For Bo whether people joined this club or not mattered little. He simply needed the access this venture could create. Bein able to swim through this sea unabated was paramount. Though he supposed he might've have hindered that with his little display earlier. Those guys were flipping annoying though.

"Marvelous! Absolutely marvelous. I assure you my warg companion this shall not be among your regrets!"

He said with a gleam of authenticity in his eyes. He would work hard, doubly hard to make sure that they succeed in whatever they were moving towards. She had placed her trust in him, this would not be taken for granted. The wayward prince would make sure of it. Hughes had begun to excuse himself. Dazuma would stand to him and bow before speaking.

"Sir, I thank you for taking this time. Please enjoy the rest of you day and know that your speculations of us will be well founded."

Churning in him were the visions of earlier, the spark or jolt of adventure and passion he received, this confirmation to act. The only needed now to figure out a name and where to go next.

"I wonder what we should call ourselves. Nothing as gaudy as the intelligentsia. Ha."

He said in a cheeky shady tone.
