}>Appearing at the new and improved Campus PD building Gig noticed that it had been fucking decked out by Anya. It was the epitome of high-tech while maintaining a professional and simplistic look that one would expect from a Police Station.

One of the best upgrades would be the holding cells, which Koudo would be finding out soon as Gig Escorted pushed him into one, tossing his books onto his bed from outside the cell. Once inside Gig would slam the cell door shut triggering the inherent effects of each cell on the block to negate any and all energy within them. Much like the handcuffs on Koudo's hand, but stronger. Not only would he be unable to perform any of his techniques but even the most basic of body functions would be tiring as he found it harder for his body to produce the energy needed to sustain itself.<{

"You'll probably be here for a while so get comfortable. I hope those few books will be enough for you. Let me explain the rules."

}>Clearing his throat and snapping his fingers so that the handcuffs faded from Koudo's wrists now that he was securely locked away, Gig would carry on explaining life here for Koudo. As he settled into his new cell which was laced with all manner of things to prevent escape of a prisoner. If he was half as skilled as he was talkative and foolish, he'd feel how futile escape was from the second he entered.<{

"Breakfast is at 0715, lunch is at 1230, dinner is at 1900 and lights out is at 2030. You'll eat, sleep, shower, and shit in your cell. If you need something let us know and we'll get it for you if we see fit. Naturally all of your possessions have been confiscated and you'll get it back after, along with your regular clothes. Any questions?"

Really all Koudo did, or felt like doing, after he was escorted here was yawn, which he did. He hadn't said a word, nor commented or whether the handcuffs were actually doing there job or not, and had already submitted Gig to the category of hard asses that witty banter would be wasted on. He reminded him a bit of Cross, just less fun and, as far as he could see, less talented.

Koudo sat down on the bed like everything was normal and cracked open the book about conjuration. "Just a couple, where's my paper and pen, and my Damn phone call." It was almost like they didn't know how to treat a guest willing to try out their cells without a struggle. Since Koudo's chakra was naturally resistant to outside influences and controls, without him doing much of anything to achieve this effect, there wasn't really much the cell could do to him besides stop him from forming strong techniques, not that he would or cared too. To him, all it felt like was being at the level he was as Special Jounin.

"Oh, and what time are mug shots taken? I'm probably the most photogenic person on the planet, you know. Ah, and be careful with my coat, it costs more than this school."

"Someone's used to being locked away..."

}>Gig could tell that the cell wasn't working as intended but the man before him did seem slightly weaker, perhaps that was just a testament to how strong he truly was. Thinking this made Gig wish he had resisted.<{

"Your picture has already been taken several times since we've been here. As far as your phone call, pen, and paper give me a moment."

}>Stepping away for a moment he retrieved the requested materials and upon returning, passed a lot of paper as well as several pens and pencils through the smaller sliding door of the cell door. Once Koudo had handled that he would pass a small phone through.<{

"You can have your phone call here, once I walk away you'll have your privacy. Your belongings are being taken care of, including your gaudy coat."

}>Checking the time he noticed that it was almost meal time and almost as if on cue the tray with a square meal and water was brought out by prison personnel. After sliding it through the door he spoke once more. He could tell Koudo didn't think very highly of him but he found it very hard to care what he or anyone thought really.<{

"Anything else?"

Koudo offered his roguish smile at Gig's assessment of his time behind bars. It could, and never would, be said if this was Koudo's first time, but he was taking this all rather well. For sure, it had something to do with whatever he'd been up too since he abandoned the Veritas and before he and Mana split up and he moved his family to the Neo-Nightmare. Maybe this guy was as much of a stick in the mud as he originally thought.

Koudo collected the pens, pencils, and paper in a bit of a hurry before tossing them on the bed and grabbing the phone so he could make his call. He could agree the coat was a bit gaudy to anyone without eyes for fine craftsmanship, but he said what he said not because the coat was expensive, but because it was priceless. He'd rather they not ruin it since the material it was made from was hard to find, though resilient, and the person that made it wasn't close by anymore.

"What? Not enjoying my company sweet cheeks? And I thought we were on the fast track to being best friends." Koudo quipped as he came to the door again and took the water, but left the food, "Being a glorified guard dog for this place can't be fun, you strike me for more of a rebel than you're showing, Metal Man." Just a casual observation that he'd made as he walked back over to the bed and took his seat. Interestingly enough, he didn't drink the water, and, instead, just sat it down on the floor between the bed and desk like thing in the room.

"The silent treatment huh?" Koudo huffed with a slight laugh, "Can't say I blame ya." Considering he'd strung together a trio of insults in a span of a couple of seconds. The conversation was over, not that Koudo really minded either way. He slid back in the bed, until his back was up against the wall, and took the phone in hand. He hoped that the people he wanted to talk to were all in the same place, but he figured that they would be around this hour.

He activated the phone, placing his call in a much more elaborate way than just dialing a number. With the chakra he had access to, he patched the call through a bunch of mental, spiritual, and chakra channels before it even got close to connecting, just as an extra precaution. It wouldn't completely mask the signal or anything, but there'd be no definitive lock on where the transmission was sent and where it was being received from, just a general read of the area in which it could be in. Once it did, regardless of if the person was around a phone or not, they'd be able to hear and talk to him like they were communicating telepathically. He couldn't do this with everyone, just people he'd intimately touched with his chakra more than once.

He spoke in a whisper, but his other half would hear it loud and clear, "Hey, looks like I won't be making it home tonight." There was a pause in his speech after that, where he only sat there with his head hanging down and his eyes staring at the bed underneath him. He was getting a response.

He cracked a small smile. "It'll be a few days, I wouldn't worry. You know me, better than anyone else." He paused again, rising his head up and resting it against the wall behind him while holding the phone down around where his lap was. He didn't need the phone to be to his ear to be able to hear what was being said on the other side.

"Think you can sing for me? You know the one, don't you?" He stopped talking again, and simply exhaled, relaxing to the sound of the voice on the other end as he closed his eyes. In the time he sat there, and listened, he could almost imagine the image of the person on the other end, and that was really all that he needed.

"Thanks." He finally said after a few minutes passed, before he ended the call. With his eyes still closed, he turned and laid down fully on the bed, resting his head on one of his head so that the front of his body was facing the ceiling. With the other hand, he tossed the phone through the top slot of the door, gently enough so that it could be caught or, if their was no one on the other end, it could land safely on the ground.

He took this time to begin mentally assessing Mira's battle prowess and in what ways the things he'd read those books could help her. From there, he'd decide on how to exactly teach her those things when she was, literally, the worst when it came to practical instruction. He supposed that was why he'd taken such a shine to her though.

-It was going on maybe the..third day of Koduo's incarceration? Probably not but it was definitely approaching the crack of dawn. Whether Koudo was sleeping, reading, or even cranking out a good morning workout, he would hear Savaj's hopefully comforting voice chime through his humble holding cell.-

Ya' know, I've never been the judgmental type.. But I've always figured this scenario would go the other way around.

-Savaj said, materializing on the outside of Koudo's jail bars or whatever barrier had been. Due to the extreme counter measures of the correctional facilities, Savaj opted to converse with Koudo via telepathic visage.-

But then again, I always seem to find you in fits of trouble. Just didn't expect you to be on the bad side of a.. school? Is that what this place is?

The days just sort of went like that until the dawn of the twenty first day, today. They drifted past as insignificant blemishes on the already tarnished record of the once great shinobi of the desecrated dusk. Once his name held weigh, drew esteem and adoration from peers and new comers alike. Now it was a name that meant nothing more to anyone than the guy that'd do the dirty deeds you didn't want to and probably be fucking your girlfriend/wife while he did so. The purest form of the subset of humanity known as the Scumbag.

He'd refuse the food that was offered to him, but would always take the water and never drink it. He'd kick back every once and awhile to, seemingly, only skim through the books that were with him, but he would never take any notes from them. Most of the other time was spent by him sitting back on the bed with his hands locked behind his head and his eye closed in a state that could be described as near death. He was eerily silent, and still, with even the faint rise and fall of the chest that signified breathing being practically nonexistent. It was a meditative state that he'd mastered achieving during his sage training in order for him to reflect on recent events without outside distraction, as well as circulate natural energy in and out of his body like convection.

However the telepathic pressure, alone, of the individual outside his cell was enough to rouse him from this state. "Apprentice-Chan huh?" He mumbled to himself and couldn't say he had been expecting him. None of the people he assumed would come to relish in their preconceived notions of his "shame" had though, so any interaction was good interaction considering the wet blankets and buzz kills the campus security force actually were.

He sat up, as he usually would at breakfast, lunch or dinner, and approached the door to find that he wasn't mistaken in his deduction. Eagerly, he grinned that same roguish grin. "Sure, if you wanna call it that. I wouldn't." Questioning there individual capacity to teach anything besides cowardice and conformity aside, Koudo couldn't call a place that hadn't been able to rally all the people left drifting by the fall of the Veritas, especially the students and young witchlings, a school or even a shelter.

"What? You come to slip me a nail file, or is this a more formal visit?" Looking at himself in the reflect of the Savvy's eyes, Koudo could see that he long over due for a shave. He'd kept himself clean, or as clean as he could get in a jail cell without a shower, but they didn't provide access to razor blades for... obvious reasons. Not that Koudo wasn't fully capable of escaping with just the paper and pen they had given him. "Should I have cleaned up?"

I was considering both as I made my way over here, but then I realized, Any former member of Weapon X could easily figure out a way to escape captivity. Especially an Ex Kage, so I assumed you were simply taking a vacation... Or some hermit, sagely, seclusion thing.

-Savaj said smiking resting his arms behind his head before he turned away from Koudo to lazily lean his back against the jail bars, releasing a silent sigh of relief. The truth behind Sav's uncharacteristic presence here was that once Koudo entered this prison facility, his chakras were practically shut out. He didn't want to believe that his former comrade would bite the dust so prematurely, he held him on a high pedestal than that. Even still he had to be sure, Koudo had probably been the closest thing Sav had to a friend.-

By the way, you have to tell me more about that saga.

Koudo's grin morphed into a genuine smile as he closed his eyes and shrugged his shoulders. He supposed it was a little of both, a vacation and a seclusion thing. It had definitely done wonders with helping him get his thoughts in order and get more in tune with the ebb and flow of Vescrutia's natural energies, even if the main purpose of this trip had actually been a flop and the main purpose for not resisting arrest had the same result.

He'd screwed up on his book choice for Mira, realizing, halfway through the tenth or twentieth time reading the reference material, that Conjuration wasn't actually a viable skill for his pupil to learn. The other book helped support a theory he'd been cooking, but minimally, and none of the people he figured would come relish in his preconceived ''shame" had actually come. His presence in this jail cell literally meant nothing to anyone, except Savaj and he, oddly enough, was okay with that.

"Nah, it's nothing like that man. I'm just a teenage anarchist who hasn't found a revolution and got locked up for being stupid." He paused there and remained silent for a time, walking away from the cell door to grab one of the 63 bottles of water that had been given to him over his time in this jail cell. He hadn't drunk a single one since he'd gotten here, but he felt thirsty now for some reason. He crack the bottle open.

"Besides I like it in here, the 'negation' effect," and he throw his fingers up to make air quotes there, "the cell has is just making my chakra's natural resilience to outside influences that much stronger. Not doing much for my sex life though." He kicked over the orderly pattern he'd set the water bottles in before walking back over to the cell door.

"So, what saga you wanna hear about again? I got stories for days."

-Savaj chuckled when Koudo commented on how comfortable he found his cell, more specifically the negation mechanics that enhanced the prison's security. Admittedly, Sav was almost immediately reminded of Cross' own floating, demented concentration camp he passed off as a correctional facility. It also incorporated the use of technology that voided the crafting or kneading of chakra at an egregious rate, but even Blue Bullet couldn't create something absolute. Savaj engineered this telepathic apparaite of him with enough chakra to exist for at least ten minutes but he didn't expect to be here more than five.-

Honestly, I have time for all of them. As of late, I've kinda been neglecting all forms of R&R and its wearing me down. I could use a break, with a friend.. And a drink.

-Sliding his hands in his pockets, Savaj took a step forward as he spoke to Koudo over shoulder only to turn to him as he reproched. Though he could have, he refused to peek into Koudo's mind as he pondered his proposal. It was an honest invitation for company, among friends.-

Whaddya say? Think you can pull away from such lavish livings?

-Such unparalleled sarcasm..-

Koudo waved his hand, Savaj obviously didn't know what he was getting himself into. Koudo had stories that many people wouldn't even be able to believe, and he expected that Savaj was living quite the same kind of life. Unlike Cross, who Koudo did see as an older brother, he felt more of a connection to Savaj, even though they'd only ever crossed paths a couple times before this. To Koudo, Cross was the older brother that went off and joined the military, then came back all... changed while Savaj was there in the thicket with him. They were both living in a crazy world just trying to ink out a meaning for themselves that they could vibe with.

"Today is release day for me." Koudo answered, drinking down the rest of his water before dropping the bottle from his hand. He snapped his fingers, causing the water in the 62 other bottles to shoot from their confinement and accumulate together into a densely compacted ball. Koudo waved his hands around, calling the ball closer to him like he was about to break it down, but the door released on it's own accord and Koudo exited.

"Literally of course, see." Koudo said, capturing his coat from the hook it hung from beside the cell door and pulling it on. He'd spent nearly a month without it, and he'd never felt so under dressed in his life. He moved on of his hands in a sweeping motion under his chin, causing the water to moved fast enough to give him a shave cleaner than he could get with a razor before stroking his cheek. "As many ways as I probably had at escaping, just biding my time was the most effective, water?"

He finally felt complete again, fully equipped with the equipment that had been confiscated once he came under the custody of the campus police. He could finally return home to see how his family was doing after hanging with Savaj.

I'll pass for something a bit stronger.

-Savaj humbly refused the bottle of water crossing his arms as Koduo emerged from his cell and snapped his fingers after he gathered his belongings. A murky purple and black portal would rise out of the ground and molded a gateway to the Psion's locationa, thr Uchian Manor. The psychic image soon began to fade.-

"Well alright then." Koudo said with a smirk, dropping most of the accumulated water on the floor. He kept a small sliver for himself, collecting it in one of the many hidden pockets of his jacket. He didn't suspect that he would need it for anything but grabbing from fresh meat for dinner at home, but he liked to be prepared. Then, he entered the portal that Savaj had created.

This was "fun" trip and all, but Koudo didn't plan on stepping foot in this place EVER again. He supposed he would have to find some place else to send Yui when she came of age and he could no longer teach her what she wanted to learn.
