Wake Up Little Boulder

Michio Samoosa stared intently out of the opening of the craggy stone hut down at the Mother a great distance away. His flexed and curled his calloused toes gripping stray pebbles and dust. He tried not to, but he scoffed. This place, although called the Khralaessara was simply not it. The promised land was not a place away from the Mother, above her, observant. It was a place within, unafraid, and embracing. This was hiding, on the moon, one of many that the mother adorned atop her crown. And try as he might to adjust, this was going to take some getting used to.

Samoosa was inside something even more new. A chamber dedicated to the restoring of those who are to awaken from stasis. He needed to look anywhere else than at the doorway to his right, into the room where Michio Nansa, Michio Shareesha, and the other Mancers were hard at work awakening yet another found in the hedrons on the Mother’s surface. He’d be too tempted to look inside, and he would be incredibly disappointed. The length of time waiting meant nothing. They could easily be laying to rest a corpse, or resuscitating a life. It was a game, and so, so many had been lost already. So he gazed at the Mother and his eyes became a glistening silver, no longer was he looking at her complete portrait of greens blues and white wisps. He was looking at fowls flying among the clouds, fish in the sea, plants and animals all serving their purpose and Michio Vyrin masquerading among them as The Great Destroyer. Everything by design. Everything by design.

And what of his design? He looked down at his hands tremoring uncontrollably. He was old, and wrinkly, a grotesque contrast to his musclebound proud people. An invalid no different than a beggar? Samoosa subconsciously forced himself to stand up straight though he winced and recoiled half way. He wore this haggardly form with pride to remind those who awakened just what life used to be before the Dharma was shattered. If anyone ever awakened from one of those damned cubes. So far the only one they saved were Scii, being so young she needed to be around someone her age. To Think they numbered 10,000… now? They were barely a hundred.

It seems like it was just yesterday when he was around the humble, proud Khralaessara- the promise land. Samoosa drew a deep reflective breath and his eyes shined a glittering crystal once more. He scanned the Mother’s surface for that desert continent, beset with chafing winds and scalding temperatures. He looked upon it with a quivering smile ashis mind wandered to that city in a hole. He could still feel the rugged stone roads beneath the callouses of his feet as they wound unevenly into and about the crevase the city was built into bustling with busy beautiful brown people all set to a task, to be free. Freedom to do anything, or nothing at all. It didn’t matter, choice was what they fought for.

It was so much easier back then, when the evil creates compromise. Now? The Mother was polluted with so much ambition, which only creates more conflict. Oh how he wanted to fight with his tribe against the horsmen back then. Yet he had to observe his comrades in arms, tactfully advise and give wise counsel. How joyous was it to feel the divergent halves of the tribe work together; the Devout, a movement dedicated to breaking the oppressive laws, cooperated with The Advocate of the caste system Michio Wei- The Ghost wind. And the two helped the Thirteen save this world from the immortal enemy. Together they brought in an era of peace, and agreed to undo the Dharma a strict set of laws, a caste system that bound every Michio to a culture of restriction.

But peace was never permanent. It seemed just yesterday Samoosa was facilitating an evacuation of the Khralaessara when the Djou’Vik and mighty titans oyube set immortal flame to their humble crevasse. It was by the help of those underground trolls, did they evacuate safely. The power of vengeance and time made a force to be reckoned with. And the dragon Yh’Keem wouldn’t yield without taking numerous lives. So The Ghost Wind gave her own. Samoosa’s smile shifted downward. Still unsure on how to look at her sacrifice. Back then the Michio were just as confused, their reincarnated oppressor willingly sacrificed their life for the tribe putting an end to the enforcement of the Dharma, but her benevolence was only a ruse. She possessed michio kham and later massacred them with grand sweeping strokes. Samoosa shook himself out of his gaze. And decided to instead pace the halls. Inch by inch his body quaked but it was better than looking into the Michio’s restless past.

How much more blood need be shed before peace and permanence walked side by side? Samoosa just took another sigh. Only hoping this time he could do much more than observe.

He could feel the stone door shift, he could hear it grind against the craggy floor of the chamber and come to a halt. Michio Nansa stepped out. Normally Samoosa would bow to the grand Mancer, but he forewent formalities in this circumstance.

“Samoosa-“

“How long has it been Nansa?”

“12 hours.”

“And?”

She looked exhausted, there were swollen puffs under her eyes. Her grey hair was wiry, ragged and wild. Her face although slender and beautiful conveyed much concern. Normally she wore that constant, presumptuous smirk but now? She had nothing to hide, nothing to analyze or decipher. She just sighed.

“May I escort you inside?”

Samoosa frowned, another corpse to look upon. He regrettably extended his elbow to her.

“Please.”

She took it and the two slowly walked inside the dark chamber. Steam collected upon the cool floor cutting off the feet of everyone inside. There was a crowd of brown bodies blocking the view of a floating cube in the center which was pouring out this steam. The cube it self seemed to be suspended in midair with sigils etched into its facade. The Ahlm Tongue.

“Samoosa this one lives.”

“What? Why are we crawling like worms! Let me see them!”

He tried to quicken his pace but he was interrupted by a fit of tremors. A quaking shiver that ran up his heel through his spine and paralyzed him in a fit that made his teeth wince. One of the bodies by the cube noticed and ran over to his aid. Nansa waved the Mancer away.

“I’m alright. I’m fine.”

“Slowly Samoosa.”

Slowly they approached, and the mancers surrounding the cube parted ways, the only one remaining was lost in a chant. He recognized them as Michio Shareeshas, a fellow elder like he, who was also afflicted with the tremors. She was reciting a hymn in the Ahlm tongue, and upon looking at the corpse in the cube. Samoosa could see why. This thing could hardly be recognized as a Michio at all. It was bones and brown skin. Silver hair true. But the eyes were closed. It was so malnourished and nearly decayed but there was a flaming tuft of Naten pusling through the scar in the center of his chest akin to his heart beat. No doubt it was Shareesha’s chant who was keeping him alive.

“Mother be still…”

“Yes. He lives, but barely.”

“He suffered injury in stasis?”

“No, we believe this one is Michio Zol.”

“Zol?!”

Samoosa took a few steps further and slowly quivered his finger along the flesh of the small corpse. His eyes rolled to the back of his head as he made contact with his Kah. He could see it all, a boy fully living his life of freedom, one of the first. His mother coming from a life of oppression rejected his choice and ran him through the chest. Samoosa had his mother put to death without blinking an eye. Mother be still…

“Mother’s breath. It is Michio Zol.”

“Shareesha is doing all she can to sustain him.”

Nansa replied calculatingly, moving her silver curls out of the way of her crimson eyes. Samoosa looked to his left at the ever whispering Shareesha speaking the power of the Ahlm Tongue which sounded like quakes, and tremors. Then he looked back to Michio Zol knowing full well why Nansa brought him in here. They needed to make a decision.

“Michio Zol wanted to live a life of freedom. But the world he was born into his long gone. In this world he must once again choose a roll…. We wait for him to rise.”

“Very well. I’ll alert the others.”

Nansa stepped away, her long legs lengthening her stride as her mancers followed behind her silent with their plain grey cloaks flowing behind them. Samoosa stroked his beard while resting the back of his palm on Michio Zol’s cheek. The boy was warm. Very much alive. Suffering. He then looked to Shareesha, locked in silent prayer and looked once again at the small pulling flame at the center of the boys chest. He would make it. So he stood, and waited as long as it took.

As the moments seemed to blend into one another his pulse stayed, though faint, consistent. It was a miracle that one so frail held onto such a faint signal life, no doubts also due to the efforts of Michio Shareesha. The grasp of the Ahlm tongue taking root within him, its varying octaves reverberating through his being, each whisper tethering another thread of his consciousness. While the tapestry of his essence was being mended he began to ponder the realm of darkness he suddenly found himself aware of. Utter black, as bleak as the silence that was swallowing the space around him. So deafeningly quiet. It made him uneasy but still, his body did not react. Several other moments went by before something triggered his being into a response. A simple touch made him reactive.

The warm feeling of Kah against Kah.

The glimmer of warmth pulsating from his chest began to slowly propagate.

His small dainty frame began to tremble as if shuttering from Samoosa's touch. Yet his eyes still did not open, his limbs seemed disconnected from his will. His hair had grown so long during his stasis trailing down his backside stopping just short of his heels. What no one knew, not even Zol was that though his kah had whittled from its past grandeur during his resolve, his ambition...his creed had also been what was tethering him still to this realm. Shareesha chant yes t be sure was effective it was continuing from the thread of life he clung so voraciously too. Kah to Kah, Naten to Naten Blood to Blood. This spark a flicker in his consciousness he began to hear the Ahlm hymns being whispered into him. Though the lethargy of being inactive for several millennia had rendered him pretty much useless, the drums of ambition had deeply rooted themselves within him, resting underneath the scar on his chest. The ancient speech of his people, it brought to mind the smell of The Khralaessara his home. Images of the hard stone roads, the curiously enchanting gleam of the crystal architecture so gracefully intertwining with the various twist and tunes of the fashioned caverns.

"Home..."

He thought the first one he had in ages really. He had long since become detached from his self having fallen into what seemed for him an eternal pit of slumber. But the robust yet tactfully elegant tones of the Michio tongue was like a ballad of rejuvenation.

"Home"

A second thought, this one louder than the last, and with its coming to an increase in his pulse. The naten in his core began to pulsate with slightly greater vigor that was steadily n the incline. Shareesha vocal begging was doing its handy work after hours on end of expression. Reminiscing now with brief flares of memory f the centuries he spent growing with the aspiration of freedom. Free of The Dharma free of chains of preconceived dreams his totalitarian mother held for him...his mother?

"M-mom?"

The thought echoed loudly his heart began racing and his vitals began to drop, the stress, the cloudiness around his mother, the gurgling of a rage deeply seated in his heart. Why? Why did he bare such vehemence at the thought of his mother...mothers, caring loving maternal figures that cater to the cultivation of their offspring? This was what he had right? This anger spoke differently. His haggard body began shaking his breathes ragged, his dingy white man covering the majority of his weak face, he was becoming unstable...if this continued the thin thread of life he was hanging on to...

Would be severed

Samoosa stood still leering at the corpse of Michio Zol eyes unblinking, and gaze unflinching hoping that he did not just call the other elders to witness another tragedy. They had already seen too much already, corpses emerging from the hedrons in fragments, he could still smell the dust of decayed Michio, he cold smell it in the air of this room, he could taste the regret on his tongue.
As the moments seemed to blend into one another his pulse stayed, though faint, consistent. It was a miracle that one so frail held onto such a faint signal life, no doubts also due to the efforts of Michio Shareesha
Who’s hymns of the ahlm tongue was a constant reminder to Samoosa, a reminder of the desperation that they had come to. He turned to look at her, recognizing full well the prayer in which she spoke. Proficient practionerns of their magical language could literally transfer their life force into others. Had this what their people have come to? Were the Michio this devastated. Samoosa feared that if he joined in the chant he could shatter Michio Zol. He couldn’t look at Shareesha any longer. He couldn’t rest his eyes upon anything that wouldn’t cause him pain. But maybe, he could learn more about Zol before he passed on into the mothers embrace.

He couldn’t tell that Shareesha’s prayers were having any affect, but
The grasp of the Ahlm tongue was taking root within Zol. Its varying octaves reverberating through his being, each whisper tethering another thread of his consciousness. While the tapestry of his essence was being mended he began to ponder the realm of darkness he suddenly found himself aware of. Utter black, as bleak as the silence that was swallowing the space around him. So deafeningly quiet. It made him uneasy but still, his body did not react.
The flicker of flame was steady wisp, maybe just maybe Samoosa could help in another way. Show Zol that people were wating for him on this side. Again he lay his calloused hand on Zol’s cheek and he received vivid images of his childhood the killing of his mother, the shunning of his father, growing up alone. He had the privilege to be one of the few born free! And was ostracized for his choice. Zol grew cold but not this time as Samoosa continued to reflect, sharing the boys pain
Several other moments went by before something triggered his being into a response. A simple touch made him reactive. The warm feeling of Kah against Kah. The glimmer of warmth pulsating from his chest began to slowly propagate. His small dainty frame began to tremble as if shuttering from Samoosa's touch.
And with it Shareesha’s hymn grew more intense. Samoosa recoiled almost instantly! He swore he was hallucinating, his body shook vehemently, but he muscled through the fit of pain and craned his neck toward Shareesha. He could hear her lips mumbling, the guttural sound of her throwing growing more and more intense and desperate. Samoosa looked to the boy
Shareesha chant yes was effective it was continuing from the thread of life he clung so voraciously too. Kah to Kah, Naten to Naten Blood to Blood.

It was like cannon fire in the chamber, Nansa hurried back by the violent shoving aside of the giant stone door.

“WHAT HAPPENED!?”

She exclaimed, Samoosa’s neck magnetized to her position. Followed by another fit of damned tremors!

“HIs pulse is quickening, the chant even quicker.

It stammered his speech, Nansa rushed quickly to his side. He shoved her off and gestured to Zol. Nansa was followed in by the Michio Elders. Distinguished Michio Michio figures- who would be legends to young Zol. One of them was giant in size, covered in scars burns and callouses, who’s faces was a permanent scowl the man who started all this. The Breaker First, Michio Vyrin, who undoubtedly made the entryway wider to accomodate his girth.

“This one lives?”

He spoke with the smallest flicker of hope in his voice. He delicately made his way over to the boy towering over the floating cube from the rear. Behind him closely was a man of neutral expression who Samoosa knew was thinking more than others could convey. His silver hair was almost as long as Zol’s and his face was weathered with experience. He was The Second Breaker Michio Gideon, he stood off to the side, always the observer. He was closely trailed by his second who, unlike Gideon always kept her blade at her side. Michio Dreya .

“What what? Whats happening?”

Stumbling in last and shouting, equally tall as Vyrin but more lean and tone was Michio Maeel the second to the Breaker First who’s face was scarred and she was missing one ear. The others gave her silent rebukes that she could feel, she slumped a bit in her shoulders and slowly shuffled in. Nansa placed her hear to Michio Zol’s chest, Vyrin looked down the bridge of his nose condescending as ever, and Samoosa couldn’t blame him. They all had seen far, far too much death already.

“His heart beat his racing.”

“But look at Shisha…”

Dreya spoke from afar, she was sweating profusely, losing the rhythm of the ahlm tongue. Maeel looked to Vyrin who turned his head away, unable to suffer another shattering of kin.

The naten in Zol’s core began to pulsate with slightly greater vigor that was steadily n the incline. Shareesha vocal begging was doing its handy work after hours on end of expression. Reminiscing now with brief flares of memory of the centuries Zol spent growing with the aspiration of freedom. Free of The Dharma free of chains of preconceived dreams his totalitarian mother held for Zol…Zol mother?

"M-mom?"

The thought echoed loudly his heart began racing and his vitals began to drop
the flame began to wither, the faces of those present began to sink to the floor. Gideon turned his back and began walking away.

“Mother be still…”

Vyrin swore as he too turned his back. Maeel’s hand leapt for Zol, and Vyrin pulled it away. It appeared
the stress, the cloudiness around his mother, the gurgling of a rage deeply seated in his heart. “No!”

Samoosa reached toward Michio sol and pressed his palm on the tender wound of his chest interlocking his hand into Zol’s heart with a crystal. It was a sin to desecrate the body of a deceased Michio, Samoosa could feel the stinging sensation of their collective gaze. Gideon took an instinctual step forward, like a beast about to pounce on his prey…

“Samoosa have you lost your mind?!”

He challenged, Vyrin slowly dropped Maeels hand and curled a fist. Nansa stepped away horrified.

“The boy lives! The boy lost his family all those years ago. He lost everything!”

He explained. The collective crimson eyes of his family who trusted him all these years was like no ridicule he had ever experienced. But for once, there wasn’t a fit of tremors to mock his vigor. Samoosa seized the moment. He was no mancer but he could feel Zol’s stress, rage, pain.

“We have to call to him…. He is failing.”

Maeel looked to Vyrin, everyone did. And the world seemed to pause for a moment as Samoosa considered that perhaps this was the moment he would die. The breaker rose his palm and instead placed it on Samoosa’s shoulder. And suddenly, he felt empowered.

“Bring our son back to us Samoosa.”

Maeel placed her had upon him, Nansa did the same. Gideon took a reserved step back, but Dreya set her blade aside, rushed over toward him and placed her hand upon his own. They poured their hopes, their spirits and their love into Zol’s chest calling to him from the beyond.

Wedged between life and the beyond the young Mich fund himself bombarded by a rush of memories. Was his life flashing before his eyes? After a 10,000-year slumber was he fated to awaken only to now be thrust into a permanent end? His face mirrored the intense pain he was feeling, excruciating scenes of loss plaguing his consciousness. Shareesha desperate attempt at preservation began to cause his spirit to quake viciously. Her life force slithered into his being seeking to rectify the extremely extensive damage that time had done to him. Its heavy current of change whittled away at the young boys figure. He was slipping...
The flicker of flame was steady wisp, maybe just maybe Samoosa could help in another way. Show Zol that people were waiting for him on this side.
He was touched by Samoosa once more, who this time coming in contact with the boys Kah ripe now with naten would be able to see what Zol now was seeing.

Zol, My darling baby Zol...You will be the one...the one...to...

A soft echo who's tone felt like a soft breeze compared to the fierce turbulence the Alhm tongue was sending through him. It called out from beneath the smile of a woman whose face he could not fully see. Only her mouth and bosom were shown and with them came a feeling of protection, of safety, of Love. But it was brief, fleeting, for soon the realm morphed revealing the youngling now in a field that was barren of life. The only thing he could feel was the cold sting of the earth beneath him. A blade laid next to him. His field of vision was blurry his stomach in knots. His vision shifted to the left again a woman stood before him a few feet away this time. She was tailored in gear that was crafted with the war in mind. He to found himself wrapped in such attire but he felt...disconnected from it whilst she stood proud of her stature. Her visage, it was clearer. But her face still remained clouded.

You are soft! Do you really intend to let our family fall beneath the cracks? Zol, you have os much, so much potential yet you squander it on empty notions of pacifism. Never has a mountain been a move by simply hoping it would do so. Power...power rules all. You must become stronger...

Zol's breathing was heavy, pained. Feelings of inadequacy flushed through him he looked to the right his eyes fixated on the blade, they widened and before he knew it another shift occurred.

Now in the middle of the part of The Khralaessara's main square. A place of trade, entertainment, and community gathering. It was his favorite place for it was one of the few places where the different cave critters liked to gather and have their fill of the lush botany that grew in abundance there. He remembered this place...the joy it brought him to see things living in synchronicity with one another, free of combat, of rules and laws. Simply being. His eyes caught sight of a butterfly, a rare occurrence in for the cavern dwellers indeed. The whimsical nature of the creature entranced him. It filled him with an overwhelming sense of envy yet admiration. The fluttering spec of creation found itself perched within the palms of his hand. All he remembered from this point was the excitement of showing it to his mother. Mother...Mother...Mother

You insufferably wretched child! One...the one chance at birth I am given waste! You refuse to pick up a blade but you will carry this?!

Fear,confusion and then...Blood
Samoosa reached toward Michio Zol and pressed his palm on the tender wound of his chest interlocking his hand into Zol’s heart with a crystal. It was a sin to desecrate the body of a deceased Michio, Samoosa could feel the stinging sensation of their collective gaze. Gideon took an instinctual step forward, like a beast about to pounce on his prey…
Just as the trauma of being stabbed by the woman who gave him life attempted to whisk the Soul of Zol way the "desecration" literally saved his life. The naten to took to the crystal quick surging now with the healing essence of the Alhm tongue and the fire burning his Zols own heart. The catalyst created a healing effect the likes of which actually began to partially stabilize the young Michio. In the depths of the now black expanse, it became visible. The face of his mother. She Killed him but an elder had saved his life. Another voice called out to him from behind the bleak dark abyss around him

My freedom fighter. Taking another nap I see eh?

This voice was...warm very warm. Filled with hope and candor. His heart felt so heavy but so filled with love? He knew this one, this calming tone of his father. The man who despite the world around him believed in Zol and always reassured him that it was ok for him to live in this world freely. He was shunned, spat upon for supporting a child so arbitrary to the current Micho aim. But his love for his child f natural birth circumvented their hatred. He bore all that with pride just to hope t see his child smile once more.

"Fa-Father? Please...don't leave me alone again!"

Now isn't your time, you have to shoulder the weight of the world on your backside. Somny futures depend on you. I know you are hurting, pain oozing from you. But within you, Zol, is a light...can't you feel it?
Maeel looked to Vyrin, everyone did. And the world seemed to pause for a moment as Samoosa considered that perhaps this was the moment he would die. The breaker rose his palm and instead placed it on Samoosa’s shoulder. And suddenly, he felt empowered.

“Bring our son back to us Samoosa.”

Maeel placed her had upon him, Nansa did the same. Gideon took a reserved step back, but Dreya set her blade aside, rushed over toward him and placed her hand upon his own. They poured their hopes, their spirits, and their love into Zol’s chest calling to him from the beyond.
From the darkness, a vision of his father would appear. Strong, a cenmontori of valor and diction who ability to endure fanned his flame even hotter. Zol had so much appreciation for his father. The way he fought for Zols honor with a smile Facing his persecutors with unwavering tenacity. He felt it, this feeling of...connection.The fervent chanting of Shareesha, the passionate calling of Samoosa who hope filled him with motivation to act, the willingness to trust in his brother coming from Vyrin, Maeel and Nansa both boosting the feelings that they all were conveying. They tired of grief, they refuse another loss. This symphony of love, hope, faith desire. This wellspring of emotion caused Zol own heart to synch and resonate with everyone that conjoined their wish. A flare of crimson light filled the room. The visage of his father walked up to him. He lifted Zol high and shot him a big goofy grin. Zol looked to the side, he didn't want to leave. He wanted to stay here submerged in the darkness if it meant staying by his father's side. His dad then drew him in close hugging him tightly

As long as you stand by the side of those who honor the name Michio you will NEVER be alone!

Zols face wrinkled in pain. Why! Why did he have to keep reliving the loss?! He hated this, he hated this all with such a deep passion. It needed to change. It all needed to change!

Now...wake up little boulder...

With that, his father released his embrace. On the outside, his kin fought so desperately for his life. The crimson light faded into nothing. Yet his heart indeed stopped. However several seconds went by before a thump in his chest came to be. After that one another, and another still. His face frowned, a deep gasp of breath was taken before his bright scarlet peepers finally opened, he squinted immediately the light was so bright he had not gazed upon it in so long it hurt to see. But when he did he saw himself surrounded by the pinnacles of Michio legend. The First breaker, Maeel and Nansa. With Samoosa earnestly looking over him, Sharresha praying in his ear. He barely had the strength but he aimed to lift his hand...

The expressions across the timeless Michio faces were variations of stunned, surprise and flat out disbelief. These people, who had seen entire empires rise and fall, who thought nothing could startle them were absolutely amazed. It was Gideon who called them back to reality.

“Shield his eyes before the boy goes blind, and fill the chamber with oxygen! Dreya, see to Shisha.”

“Yes!”

His second moved like the wind, throwing herself around Michio Shareesha who had stopped her incantations as soon as Zol drew breath, she collapsed in Dreya’s arms. Samoosa backed away letting the more capable bodies do their work of a well oiled machine. The vacuum of his presence was consumed by an influx of robed mancers bringing with them sealed black chests that required multiple michio to carry. Michio knew how to play a role, no one questioned what needed to be one, and there was no clash or overlap. But Samoosa withheldeld a smirk, everyone was moving with such unprecedented efficiency, they were filled with purpose.

“Zol, you must rest your eyes until they adjust. Keep them closed for now.”

Maeel whispered in Zol’s ear as she delicately, oh so delicately shut them. Vyrin grasped the little boys extended hand in his own, like a mighty stream consuming a mere pebble. He said no words. For once he had no words to say. From the looks of things he was probably choking on his own pessimism. He did however look to Gideon, who had Zol’s other hand wrapped in his own. He gifted Vyrin a smile, attempting to put the breaker at ease. This was a happy occasion, not another excuse to feel guilty

“Don’t flagellate yourself brother. When the boy returns to us. We dance. For once, we can dance.”

Nansa was shouting orders to the Mancers who set down these chests at particular intersections of the chamber. By the grinding of stone, the heavy chests were open and giant green crystals with etchings in them floated out of the chests and suspended themselves in the air. The Mancers tapped the crystals one by one and they chimed with one another harmoniously. Three strong chimes filled the room and the markings upon the crystals glowed, the writing of the Ahlm Tongue enchanted the crystals flesh synchronized them so they washed the room over with a green glow filling it with its own atmosphere of oxygen. Maeel stepped away from Zol and drew a deep breath.

“Phew! Do any of you not get tired of holding your breath on this damned moon?! How is Shareesha?”

She exclaimed taking another long draw of oxygen and started over to Shareesha who, cradled in Dreya’s arms began to shake her self out of her trance.

“I’m fine, I’m fine.”

Her speech was shaken like Samoosa, a council member from the times of the Dharma who still bore the oppression of the body. She looked around the chamber, now filled with life rather than death. She nodded pleasingly as she took in the appearance of the others.

“Well hello everyone. I trust I saved the boys life?”

“You and Samoosa.”

Grumbled Vyrin with their eyes locked to Zol. Shareesha shoved Samoosa who just smiled to himself.

“This old stone?! You?”

“I believe Zol was involved in some way as well. Let us remember, this boy, like Scii is one of the Loah.”

Samoosa cautioned as he simply embraced his sister. Shareesha even in her old age could always lighten the mood. For that he was eternally grateful.

“I feel it as well. He has new abilities.”

Nansa echoed Samoosa sentiments. She filled the void that Maeel left of keeping a bird-like watch on Zol as his chest heaved in and out. Vyrin and Gideon nodded as well. There was something amiss.

“Where is Scii anyway?”

Maeel asked to anyone who would listen. They all looked to Vyrin.

“She didn’t want to witness another brother die.”

“I’ll go fetch her! The boy lives!”

Maeel started toward the door before another rebuke tripped her strike.

“No!”

Nansa rebuked.

“We have to restore his Kah soon. He may live yes, but the restoration process is another mountain in which to climb. I’m going to have to ask you all to wait outside.”

“You call us in just to dismiss us once more?”

Gideon sounded very displeased. But Vyrin already started toward the door. Samoosa and Shareesha began to shuffle their way out leaning upon Dreya and Maeel for support. Normally, reason wasn’t a tool Nansa used but she could see the confusion in Gideon’s eyes. The boy was improving but the rest of him needed to be improved as well lest his lungs collapse under the weight of his Kah.

“I’m sorry, but we all were terrified. Now? We have to do this right. The boy’s lungs nearly burst a moment ago! Without the Breaker Third-“

“I know! We’re looking for her day and night!”

“Now’s not the time to argue Gideon. Just go. This is a time to celebrate brother.”

Nansa clapped Gideon on the shoulder. Gideon locked crimson eyes with Nansa, who looked entirely different without that all-knowing smirk across her face. It was nice for once. He resolved to nod, and gently placed Zol’s corpse of a hand back across the wound on his flesh. He kneeled down and kissed the boy atop the forehead and dismissed himself from the chamber. By the grinding of a stone door and a quaking boom the chamber was sealed off awash in an eerie neon green glow. Nansa looked to her left, where there were two Mancers positioned by the floating crystal, she looked to her right where there was another mancer and crystal placing Zol at this intersection of a very familiar Michio ritual. Lastly she looked at Zol.

“We lost everything when the Khralaessara was besieged by Yh’Keem, and we lost even more when The Great Destroyer went berserk.”

The Grand Mancer took a few steps away and extended her hands palms facing upward, out of her palms emerged white crystals that floated above Zol in crucial points his body- his neck, his chest, his knees, his and his elbows respectively.

“We’re missing crucial medicines and crystal technology that could make this a lot easier for you. Without it? This is going to hurt. I don’t want your first experience in this world to be pain. Please don’t hold this against me.”

She flipped her palms facing down, and the crystals jabbed their sharpened points into Zol’s flesh. Nansa’s eyes rolled to the back of her head as the roof of the chamber opened revealing the pink and green suns dancing around The Mother. The sun seemed to stimulate the crystals, capturing their light in their prisms and funneling their radiation into Zol’s body slowly turning his haggardly deceased dusty flesh into the beautiful brown youthful Kah that it was. It was a beautiful operation as light danced around the chamber, funneling into the crystals; a healing ritual practiced repeatedly many times that needed to be slow and delicate as to not overload the body and cause permanent defects.

“Shield his eyes before the boy goes blind, and fill the chamber with oxygen! Dreya, see to Shisha.”
He almost felt commanded in the second to do so, it was loud, so very loud hear. Flaring light nearly sent his senses into disarray before Nansa rushed over to him.
“Zol, you must rest your eyes until they adjust. Keep them closed for now.”
He headed, his breaths were long, hard and spaced apart. His skin though brittle felt like it weighed several times his weight. He was trying to conserve his strength. But his excitement was burrowing forth aiming to dismantle the lethargy that had overcome his members. His sense f hearing was still wanting. He could only hear Maeel because she was speaking directly to him. The wholesome dispersing of everyone was honestly refreshing for him, Michio folks had more than just bass in their tones their very voices could alter the world around them. But to hear tangible bodies now granted a scanty sense of reprieve.
That was until Nansa started barking her compositions at the other Mancer who reacted with the utmost purpose upon delegation. This was a moment that was steeped in so much promise. A flagrant and bold step forward in the time of Michio and Zol's rejuvenation would christen a hopefully consistent occasion and cause to celebrate: The call of a loved one, home. The heavy rustic churning of stone filled the expanse underling slight side conversations about how a moment like this has eluded them for so long and doing everything in their power to ensure this child's survival. The grinding bellow of the earth would be accompanied and soon succeeded by a trio of chimes that caused a reverberance of expression from the crystal levitating around them. Like a well-tuned and ritual strengthened orchestra, the consonance filled the air and Zols sense with a sensation that was almost embracive as if priming him for the very arduous task about to be presented before him.
“Well hello everyone. I trust I saved the boys life?”

She truly had, her voice to him was the most certain out of the lot. Hours on end he had to familiarize himself with her octaves. Bridges of connection he felt at ease knowing she was well.
“You and Samoosa.”

Grumbled Vyrin with their eyes locked to Zol. Shareesha shoved Samoosa who just smiled to himself.
Zols tiny hand laid in the Gideons palm like a lone island surrounded by sea. He, however, gathered a makeshift fist as the pain became taxing on him.
“No!”

Nansa rebuked.

“We have to restore his Kah soon. He may live yes, but the restoration process is another mountain in which to climb. I’m going to have to ask you all to wait outside.”

“You call us in just to dismiss us once more?”
Each second became more difficult than the last, his chest was barely rising steadily increasing the restriction to the air around him. Whatever Nansa needed to do she needed to do fast despite the awesome resiliency that carried him through a testament of time, the young Michio looked no different than an empty shell. He felt Gideon's sentiments through a forehead kiss. People, people were really this happy he was around? He'd only know of this type of affection from his father...but he was gone now. He wouldn't allow himself to fall into an emotional pitfall overthinking things. Such childlike notions were beyond him now. They said it themselves. He survived where others did not. That was the joy, he wasn't anything special, that is until the room was stained by an eerie glow.
“We lost everything when the Khralaessara was besieged by Yh’Keem, and we lost, even more, when The Great Destroyer went berserk.”
Her voice rang in his ears this was it, he could feel it in her tone.
“We’re missing crucial medicines and crystal technology that could make this a lot easier for you. Without it? This is going to hurt. I don’t want your first experience in this world to be pain. Please don’t hold this against me.”
A deep as possible almost instinctual drawing of air happened from Zol. The chimes from before, this was what their sense of forbearance rang for. Galvanizing him for the part that was going to be the most intense. She was trying hard, so hard to save his life. His mind was about to drift back to right before he woke up, but as he started touching the memory...
His body was overwhelmed with almost incapacitating pain that forced out a primal and guttural whale from him. He forced his eyes to stay shut tightly, Cringing and flinched in pain as the crystals melded themselves to him. Though almost at the point of passing out from the shock of the method used, he held on once more by a thread of unwavering will. He had come this far, they were giving it their all, he had to cling, to crawl so that he could once again run on his own two legs in a field where the Michio could experience freedom. That...that hope held him together and had him conscious as moments went by and his skin began to heal. His scraggy body was returning to its once vibrant and audacious form. An ebon crystal like gleam (endowed with the many lights the ritual displayed) reflected off the small coagulated beads of sweat produced as a side effect the heat of the ritual was creating, relaxing and loosening his muscles the healing essence of the ritual redefining his former blueprint he was feeling...well...

Like a Michio again.

((Don't mind me just covering up plot holes))
TL;DR - The devout took everything that made Zol a Michio, Shareesha gave him his life. This g ives Zol freedom to RP independently of moi. So you can keep doing you. Again I apologize.

Painful screams and dancing lights filled the restoration chamber as Vyrin watched his sister, the whimsical mancer attempt at restoring Zol's Kah to proper fighting form. It appeared it elicited nothing but agony from the young fossil. Zol continued to glow as Nansa carved tremoring into Zol's flesh. Their written language, when infused with naten actualized their intent upon the world. The symbols spelled 'arise', 'renew', 'rebuild' and so on and so forth. Perfect for any seasoned warrior with history behind their kah. But Zol was a not a warrior in his first life, he was a child. How could he possibly serve the ambitions of The Devout in this life.

"The boy is going to die."

He grumbled under his breath. He walked up and patted Nansa on the shoulder, judging from the tears welling up in her eyes she already knew what those thunderous taps meant. It meant 'do the best you can for him, salvage him'. For his plans, Vyrin needed warriors. Now wasn't the time for poets. He looked toward Gideon, Samoosa, Maeel, all those who were present with their somber faces. Out of all the Hedron's they've discovered they have yet to find the Third Breaker Aioma, or anything else of use.

"They boy deserves his life at least."

Grumbled Ma'eel, leaning against the cold wall of moon rock.

"Yes, he deserves that much. Everything else will serve a far greater purpose, freed from his husk."

The crystals inscribing the tremoring into Zol's flesh grew exponentially brighter causing Zol's skin to crack and burst with fabulous naten. The boy shattered like glass, in an explosion. He appeared dead. But was far from it actually. Just out cold. What floated above him were a series of crystals that Nansa used to restore him. But they were filled with some type of liquid. Crimson red, it was his blood. Something all Michio possessed. Zol would restore himself surely, and whatever remained after him would be michio in name and in name only. Vyrin approached the plasma filled crystals and plucked them one by one, they each made a unique sound. This would be Zol's cadence of creation the very way he would impact and shape the world. Vyrin appeared impressed now that all of Zol's growth potential was visible before his very eyes.

"Hm, he'd be no Breaker, but would have made a good Mancer."

"After a few thousand years. Time we just don't have."

Nansa wiped sweat from her brow as she too observe the series of blood filled crystals. It was plamsa, cell, and dna rich with potent prehistoric matter, of one of the first bloodlines to ever exist. It would be best put to use independent of it's host. None of them had time to raise children.

"What do you want me to do with this?"

She asked Vryin, her attendees were shaping the bed in which Michio Zol lie into a sort of capsule to be fired from the moon to Vescrutia. She would give him his life, at least. But everything else belonged to them. Already she could see the cogs in his brain turn with the possibilities. Yes Zol would have made a fabulous Mancer. He already had an affinity to use their 'cadence of creation' technique.

"Grow it. Grow it into something that doesn't cry. We're done here. Gideon, Ma'eel. Subjugate the masses. Measure the strength of the planet's fighting forces. There are plenty on the planet who are loyal to our cause. I'll rally them. And if we cross Michio Zol again, he's no kin of ours. Live for the dying."

"Live for the dying"

They replied in unison, and the devout went about their tasks. Gideon and Ma'eel went to reveal themselves to the masses upon the surface of Vescrutia. Gideon choosing to repurpose an entire populace to worshiping him as a God, Ma'eel overtaking her own section of commerce and trade and ingratiating herself as a ruling lord. And Zol was ejected from the surface of the moon, to redefine what a Michio meant to him. Nansa however had other plans in mind for his blood.
