“That right?”

-She said with a relaxed exhale. His mind was strong it seemed, but she didn’t have to probe him any further to know he was a dirty fucking thief. She rolled the scroll up nice and tight before stashing it into her olive colored miltary parka, guess this would be over sooner than she thought.-

“Well it’s been reported stolen, along with several other incredibly powerful ancient scribes. I’m gonna take this off ya’ hands, okay? Ya’know, to help preserve the state of security. You wouldn’t happenend to know to any of the other scrolls snagged in the under handed hit, would ya’?”

-She said narrowing her eyes, releasing the choking grip she had on his cerebral cortex. Savvy had discovered what she needed, his lies would avail him nothing. He could lie free of any pressures if he wanted but the disappointed glum look on Savaj’s face insinuated she already knew the line he was going to manipulate her with.-

Axel stifled a snicker as she laid out her little speal about what was reported stolen. She was either on the wrong trail or...

"If you wanted in you coulda' just asked. No need to get all rowdy."

That scroll was handmade, there was no way anyone was looking for it except whoever he promised it to. Savaj would also find her energy compromised as she released it, his own energy stuck to it in it's own compromised state. Axel finally uncrossed his arms and placed one a fair amount over her shoulder on the cloaked wall behind her. When did that get there.

"Now I don't know about your scrolls that you need to find but that one there was made specifically for this transaction."

He looked her up and down once again.

"And it doesn't matter how cute you are if you're out of your jurisdiction."

He stood there with a pretty relaxed demeanor considering the situation. Maybe he felt like they were finally getting along, perhaps she would sense the successful emotions he held after figuring out the misunderstanding.

"So yea, you smoke?"

He asked pushing off the wall almost abruptly as he reached into his cloak to find another blunt. Glancing at her he waited for her answer as the energy she used to get her truth repeated itself at the intersection of their energies. Wherever that ended up.

“Mhmm, got mah’ own smokes tho..”

-She said, shrugging Axel’s unwanted touch from her shoulder with cold prejudice before he tried to pick her pocket or whatever trifling charminng shit he was attempting. It was clear he was underestimating her, and disrespecting the Nightmare’s Military by treating her as anything but merciless killing machine. And he lied to her? After she clearly probbed his mind for the knowledge she saught? More disrespect.-

“You got no idea how lucky you are that I’m already drunks.”

-She said taking a few steps from Axel and into puddle ridden alley. She pulled a pack of Astral 100s from her parka’s pocket and began shaking the box up. They came with twelve and were pre-rolled with some potent herbs, cut with other spinal leaking chemicals. It was only sold bythe dirtest merchants of Vescrutia and induced a high worth musing too. She took one out the pack before taking a deep breath.

“I’ma ask you one mo’ time, okay? Actually, do I really have to ask? Or are you just gonna’ waste our time here?”

The shade was stretched thin as the girl stepped away eventually leaving only the regular shadows, Axel standing in one of them. Below him a dark portion swirled into his cloak before peeking a neon eye that disappeared quickly into further depths. All the while Axel had pulled out his blunt, hand rolled to perfection, grinning.

"How 'bout..."

He put it in his mouth quickly, sparking it lit with another motion he took a puff.

"Smoke wit me and I'll talk."

He looked at her before glancing past her for moment hitting his blunt again lazily. The smoke flowing from his mouth as he talked.

"If you can walk and smoke at the same time I mean."

He was most likely worried about the looming collapse of his transaction. Axel didn't want to have to take the scroll back by force but they were gonna come looking for it sooner or later. Either way they had to move, and Axel had to see what this girl had on him anyway.

“You can keep ya bullshit, and I’ll keep this..”

-She spoke over her shoulder after lighting her joint and stuffing the pack back into her knee length parka. Savvy had tucked the scroll someone where in her tank top cuz’ at this point of the conversation, it didn’t seem like she was pulling it back out.-

“I’m late for somethin’ else anyway. But I’ll be seeing you soon, kay? Be grateful yo’ thievin’ ass not in cuffs.”

-She waved as she pressed onward into the murky black corridors. Savvy’s communicator had been blaring in her back pocket, which could only mean Kham found something valuable enough to sick his hit personal hit squad after. She wanted to ignore it, but Savvy was an aggressive drunk. Maybe she could use the opportunity to blow off some steam.-

Shorty was really doing her job today, Axel thought as he puffed longer on his blunt. That would put his life on the line given enough time, hang the relationship he thought he was going to have. He'd have to leave this blunt hanging.

Of course the girl was fed up Axel was the biggest bullshitter coming out of his mashup tribe. There was usually no stopping him from getting the best of any situation no matter how big the challenge, this girl stood to challenge that. Worse part was it didnt matter if the girl knew he was a part of tthe village, if that scroll wasn't in the right hands his head would be up for the next transaction.

"You won't mind, if I keep You another minute then right?"

Axel stepped behind her like he had been keeping pace the entire time, patting her shoulder quickly before his hand disappeared back into the shadows. Another impact would have been aimed at the center of her back, his naten seeped into the darkness through his cloak making sure her feet were entangled when she next moved them in the slightest. Thief move strong armed robbery, he hated to resort to such methods especially on a woman but it was either win or get caught for Axel, he hadn't much to lose.

This was his only part in retrieval however, Shear was a real shiny thing collector she only needed the opportunity. She took that quite often. He had constructed a leash for her whenever he actually wanted everything around him to stay in place, otherwise he'd find quite important things in the most unexpected places.

Of course she would have already been perched on the woman's shadow, scittering longways into her cloak from the ground. She sniffed every pocket, like a bug rushing furrily through her shadow this usually would have gone unnoticed with the help of Axel but he knew subtlety was dead. He just wondered how far...

“Tuh..”

She scoffed. In the privacy of her mind Savvy had imploded into a fit of laughter after reading Axel’s insultingly presumptuous train of thought. Clearly the boy lacked an idiom of home training but touching a women without their consent speaks volumes of one’s character. For more than half her life Savaj had been gruesomely acquiesced by the hands of the lustful and the petulant. The fuckers were bigger, stronger, and far more persuasive than Xaxel and his puppy. His methods did give her flashbacks to the old blood stained hostile cell she called home during her adolescence. She couldn’t help but crack a smile as she found herself still trying to exercise restraint. They never did, so why should she?

“Fine, cuffs it is..”

She murmured to herself just as Axel flickered behind her and reached where he shouldn’t have. As if she was reading his mind Savaj twisted her shoulder’s to face Xaxel with a cold, loveless stare that did more than convey he’d fucked up. There were a shitload of benefits that came with being psionically gifted, including being able to ensnare anything and anyone with your force of will alone. Savvy’s petrifying glare worked similarly to Medusa’s instead the former usually bound their target using several billion telekinetic invisible barbed wires more resilient than diamond infused polymer. They didn’t truly strike as they were molded from the amorphous vacuum of Savaj’s mind. She didn’t take the perimeter into account, so nearly every patron in the Solid Vomit were neurally impaired by a cluster of cables they couldn’t even see. Dime sized holes appeared in the concrete, the walls, people’s clothes, everywhere within Savvy’s immediate range. They weren’t lethal, it was how she captured high priority targets.. and in this case, presumably handsy lying thieves.
Shear was a real shiny thing collector she only needed the opportunity. She would have already been perched on the woman's shadow, skittering longways into her cloak from the ground. She sniffed every pocket, like a bug rushing furrily through her shadow.
Shear on the otherhand was another story entirely. Savvy loved animals and sensed the baby shadowwalker creeping on her the same way she anticipated attacks from the likes of Des Noir. Shear was a product of her arrogant handler so she’d see no harm. In fact, Savvy had a half a mind to keep the beautiful creature for herself but ultimately decided to lul the pup to sleep by eminating a pulse of suffocating telepathic pressure. She was young, small, and weaker than she’d be if Xaxel took better care of her. Perhaps he’d have an epiphany and rewire his ambitions toward his partner after his stint in prison. Or whatever the Destati did to thieves who got caught stealing military grade equipment.

Holes were ripped through his clothes as the rebar like mental energy burst from the girl. It was a stable fucking hold too, binding the whole area to her mental.

Too bad his life was on the line, and this feeling was all too familiar. Sware she had just tried to hold him to something just before this. Not being able to move though he could only recover with a painful glare.

Well that and a buildup of a charge opposite the females natural disposition, he knew it well. Aiming to pull the law enforcement at least out of her comfort zone. Whether it broke the hold or ripped the pain through his body the target would feel a magnetic force pull towards the thief seeking to bring them together at the cost of his very skin.

Savvy's body began to violently tug before she dug her foot in the cement, reinforcing herself with telekinesis but in doing so, freeing Axel from her grasp.

"You must really want this thing huh? Tell you what, I'll trade ya. You give me your beautiful little fren' there, and you can have ya' stupid scroll back."

The wind shifted in the alleyway ever so slightly, if he said he didn't have to think about this offer in the situation he'd be lying. However there was no time.

With a soft -fwoom- the pull was released, almost reversed and the shadows of his cloak dispersed across the alley and the depths of his clothing became clearer while the alley's corners coalesced awkwardly.

What are you doing

I won't be long... promise

He reached his hand out of his fur coat, now just an extravagantly black cloak without Sheer's abilities. The wind picked up in the same regards, rustling the cloak even more as he waited. The girl might have to catch her first but Sheer was hers for as long as the fox wolf allowed, but Axel had to go.

"Fine."
