Into The Forest; Scaling Mountains

The azure radiation released from atop of the mountain triggered genetic mutation in the surrounding species. Creatures in the mountain areas are stronger, larger, and feral. Even the simplest of lifeforms are formidable threats, but These creatures leave larger yields of Azurite

The second Tomon was sucked back into the first with a hideous slurp, the thread binding them retracting like a frog's tongue after it stuck to a fly. The bodies hit each other with a gross slop before the siamese twins blended back into one body, the first looking as if it were eating the second with his very form alone. The second Tomon waved goodbye to Jace as he was consumed by the original, who belched out of his... Stomach instead of his mouth.
Jace nervously waved back at muck monster who was absorbed back into the core form of the winged giant. Jace's eyes then flexed slightly in response to Toman throwing down the gauntlet.
"... How Strong Am I?" he repeated with a chuckle, "You Wanna Find Out?"
"..yeah, I kinda do now. Especially if we're gonna be fighting together, I'd love to see how you'll have my back. If you can that is, I tend to find myself in the darkest, duuuumbest situations."

Jace stretched out his four limbs and began slowly spinning in the air. He honestly didn't come here thinking he'd be sparring with some mysterious new ally, but he didnt sweat it. Then he snapped back to an upright, levitating position.

"Should we have like.. a safe word or something? Rules like, the first one to land a hit or?"

He was scratching his chin again, looking up, down, and in every direction for ideas for their bout. Maybe he was thinking too hard.. its been so long since Jace sparred with someone and not tried to rip them apart.

"Fuck it, we can just freestyle it."

Tomon could not help but to chuckle again. This guy seemed like he was confident in his power, and Tomon liked that in a person. It either meant that they actually were powerful, or it meant that they were going to be fun to mess around with. Either way, it was a fun fest for Tomon.

"I'm Down With Whatever," Tomon said coolly, placing both hands behind his head as he stood up atop the mountain. "You Can Go As Crazy As You Want. I'm All For That, Being Pretty Crazy, Myself." He snickered lightly. "The Way I See It, Things Will Stop Before Anything Too Serious Goes Down, If We're Not Trying To Kill Each Other. I Rely On That Logic." A single one of Tomon's wings slowly outstretched from his body and outward so the side, expanding a bit, his arm on that side following behind. "I Hope You Don't Mind If I Make The First Move..." he'd say, a sharp gleam shining in his eye. With a quick, swift swing, Tomon's wing, in a blur, swept over the sky and toward Jace. The power behind it was enough to create a wind that could send him into space and then some, and the vacuum behind it could pull him right back with a vicious snap. Physical impact with the wing would have sent him flying equally as far, and if it were caught or parried, the wing's density would remain resilient enough to deliver residual damage from impact alone.

The force of the swing lifted the giant from his place sitting upon the mountaintop, where he could stretch his legs out and stand. Maintaining his footing, Tomon's body immediately began to decompose, but still retained its shape and form, for the moment. Like he said before, he was the conservative type, and keeping his body in a state of semi-sludge was the best state of preserving energy he had, since it took nothing to let his cellular structure fall apart as it may. It made it look like globs of black goop were going to drip from his body, yet they remained hanging like boogers on strings of snot, not a single drop falling from the body.

Jace crossed his arms in front of him to block the brunt of the attack and he took the free ride into orbit without even trying to fight the inertia. The force of those wings carried a massive wallop, it had to even move Jace's body an inch. But he seemed at peace floating in the sea of glints of space dust. He smiled, gazing at Vescrutia and all its celestial beauty. He fashioned his hands like a camera and playful took a few mental pictures of the beautiful globe, but then he pointed his index fingers at his muse. Those suckers got to glowing with red hot bubbles of Naten soo intense, they shined through the stratosphere in the middle of the day. Like a third sun.

"Bang! Bang! Bang.. Bang... Bang!"

Jace released a volley of focused lasers at Toman, each of them more accurate than the last, with tons more heat. Hundreds, thousands. Even in orbit, Jace's eyesight could track Toman like a sniper. Each blast, if it missed, did little to no collateral but burrowed directly into the soil and down to the mothers core. As Jace hoped they do to Toman's defenses.

Back at the mountaintop, Tomon watched as his opponent flew out into space, whistling as he witnessed. With his 'Crystal Sight' -- otherwise known as 'Hyper Perception' -- he could see just about anything perfectly clearly, even from such a distance. His eyes zoomed in on the target, watching him snap a figurative picture with his fingers. Made Tomon chuckle a bit. "Free Spirit, Eh?" Tomon said, watching the rise in naten all the way up to the burning flash, "But Don't Count Me Out Just Yet, Coach..."

Suddenly, Tomon's body became molten hot, glowing with a brightness similar to the one that was within Jace's fingertips. If he'd remembered when he got there, Tomon was absorbing molten hot lava into his body like it was a soda pop, not even feeling the intensity of the heat nor showing signs of such. Some thermal blasts weren't going to be enough to damage him... However, Tomon was a smart fellow, despite his dopey and lazy outward appearance. He just didn't like using so much of his brain so haphazardly -- a conservative, you know.

When his body was made of nothing but heat, Tomon pointed his wings up toward the volley of heat rays and drew his wings back with a hard tug, pulling in each and every last shot into a nice, clean vacuum. The force of said vacuum both held the energy together and kept it in place, leaving Tomon the opportunity to dispel of it thoroughly with a little heat control of his own. He slammed his wings together and absorbed the heated naten into himself before suddenly changing into a crystalline form that reverted it all into its purest elementless state the moment it was taken in. The 'heat' naten was now 'crystal' naten, which was converted in the same fashion as the magma was before. This was to prevent any type of thermal control that Jace might have had over the pure naten when it was absorbed, since that was clearly his motif.

"I'm Like A Garbage Dump," Tomon said, his crystal body suddenly bubbling and boiling over, "I Can Eat Anything." There was an abrupt explosion of crystal essence from his lower torso that poured throughout the mountain ranges and shot Tomon farther up into the sky, Tomon expanding his form the higher he got. The crystal essence that was pouring out of him wrapped around several objects for rooting and even seeped deep into the ground, but seemed to do no harm to anything because of its elementless nature; it could apparently adapt to its surroundings and become like what it was near, causing it to gently merge with the elements that it tied itself down to without damaging them. Completely transparent, it looked as if Tomon had no lower torso, as it had all blended into the elements of nature.

But Tomon had only done this to set himself up, and he hadn't even retaliated yet.

Past the sky of Vescrutia and out where Jace was, the now astronomical Tomon of crystal with a big and wide sharp-toothed smile on his face sprang up from the planet like a geyser. Rooted to the planet for a steady foundation and literally higher than the sky, Tomon was now fathoms greater in size than Jace was, and seemed to be getting bigger as he continued to stretch from the ground. Though suddenly, he did stop, and when he did, he spread his wings with a mighty burst, forcing away everything from near him and deeper into space. "Wasn't Expecting This Battle To Get To Space So Quickly," Tomon quipped, "But I Can Get Planetary And Devastate." However much power Tomon put into opening his wings, the pure naten of it could be felt in an overwhelming surplus, like he was expending it on purpose.

-Jace let up on his volley as he watched the giant, crystal, muck, magma, garbage dump? Thing excel through the atmosphere. Jace withdrew his figurative guns into his pockets and tried to take in the perplexing abilities of his new ally.-

He was fucking excessive.

Jace's skin comically rippled when Toman flexed his power. His avian appendages created a dominating wave of force that traveled through the dark void seamlessly and made room for their scrap. Thanks to the distance between them, Jace didnt have to crane his neck to see Tomon's face. He saw of his galactic majesty, and he took up a celestial amount mass. But then Jace thought about it, wasn't he trying to mine the Alps for more power? He had to be super strong already.. maybe he was just greedy. Possessed by some avaricious phatom? Or maybe he was one.

"Geez, I can see that. Where did you come from, big guy?"

-He asked, dragging one of his hands from his lofty, ivory pants and pointed his finger again. This time, an emerald haze began to stem from beneath his fingernail until it absorbed his entire hand in its radiance. Undoubtedly Tomon could feel the heat, it was one of the reasons Jace opted to keep the fight in orbit. Aside from mitigating damage in the Astral, he knew Genesis was a bit too dangerous for him to use while earthbound. And Tomon, if he didn't somehow already know, was going to learn that himself.

But then he thought about it, and the emerald gleam surrounding his wrist began to waine.. just a bit.-

Wait.. can he heal too? Fuck what if he can't?

Quite honestly, Jace had only conditioned himself to fighting malevolen threats, or Kham when the two of them were bored or anxious. Genesis wasn't something he could just toss around, especially against a new ally whom he didn't truly understand.-

In space, the giant Tomon swayed from side to side, gently rocking himself to some unsteady beat that was bound to be in his own head. He laughed soundlessly at the question, his head bobbing back like a hand puppet mouth. "I Come From The Veritas -- An Alternate Dimension That Is Made Up Of... Well. Me." It was almost vain, but it was the truth. "Tymon... Or, Khrona, The Guy I'm A Piece Of... Had To Create The Dimension Solely Out Of Himself And Sustain It By Himself With Pieces Of Him Like Myself As The Makeup Of The Dimension. It Was Because If He Didn't, He Wouldn't Have Survived On Vescrutia... Just Like Vescrutia..." Tomon winced at the thought of the past, looking off to the side a bit with his dark, sunken eyes.

He glanced over to the reluctant Jace, blinking a bit and returning his head to the visage of him. "I Wouldn't Hold Back If I Were You, My Guy," Tomon said pretty casually, "I Didn't Just Gather All Of That Power..." His eyes suddenly sharpened, narrowing to slits and glowing with energy, smile widening, "SO WE COULD PUSSYFOOT AROUND!!!" Tomon's voice carried across the cosmos, but what Jace hadn't recognized was... So did Tomon's naten from the first wing flap. "Crystal Nightmare!!"

Suddenly, everything went black.

Not space black, with stars and light shining -- pitch black.

There, in the darkness, the enormous Tomon faded into appearance smile-first, like a cheshire cat, before the rest of his face and body from the neck down formed... All the way up until it reached the planet. That was a bulbous crystal orb that was serving as Tomon's lower torso. It wasn't Vescrutia anymore.

"You Really Should Let Loose, Or You'll Never Get Out Of Here," Tomon said blatantly, looking around very casually. "When I Flapped My Wings, I Sent My Naten All Across The Area As Far As My Wing Beat Reached. Everything That Was Caught Up In It..." He paused, pulling something out of the darkness -- a moon. "... Is Now In An Alternate Reality." The moon was no ordinary moon, however; it had a face upon it, and that face was menacing. The eyes looked to Jace with a sharpness not unlike Tomon's eyes before. "The 'Crystal Nightmare' Allows Me To Change Whatever My Naten Is Released To Into An Alternate Reality That Is Purely Discordant And Nightmarish, Basically To Invoke Dissonance About Whomever Or Whatever The Target Is." That was, this time, Jace. "Everything This Time Was Just Collateral." Because they were friends, Tomon could reveal a secret about the Crystal Nightmare as the reality continued to form, saying to Jace, "If You Release Enough Naten To Overpower It Or Overpower Me, You Can Break Free. But It Gets Stronger The Longer You're Here, So..." Tomon rolled his eyes innocently, then cocked his arm back, "CATCH!!!" Hurling the devilish moon at Jace, the celestial body shot through the darkness like a bullet, the moon quickly becoming a meteor as it drew nearer to Jace.

All the while, Tomon extended his wings to the side, blending them into the Crystal Nightmare... That's when noises could be heard.

-Jace opened his heart to Tomon, trying the best he could to comprehend the guys complicated origins, but quantum physics was always Jace's weakest subject aboard the Pantheon. Toman was from another dimension he made himself, out of himself? where Vescrutia existed? It was hard to conceptualize but just a glance at the humble giants droopy eyes conveyed his pain to Jace. Now it was beginning to make sense; his strange appearance, his carelessness about the planet's condition in his eccentric quests for power wasn't in the least bit malicious. Toman---, er Khrona-- Tymon was a refugee, just like Jace was. He opened his mouth to lend some words of reassurance but the mighty celestial wasn't done speaking.
He glanced over to the reluctant Jace, blinking a bit and returning his head to the visage of him. "I Wouldn't Hold Back If I Were You, My Guy," Tomon said pretty casually, "I Didn't Just Gather All Of That Power..." His eyes suddenly sharpened, narrowing to slits and glowing with energy, smile widening, "SO WE COULD PUSSYFOOT AROUND!!!"
Toman's voice barreled through the starry blackness like the horn of God himself. Vibrations were the only waves that could permeate the cosmic sea, and they rung Jace's ears until the felt a lil numb. And then his vision failed him; darkness swallowed everything far a wide. The stars faded until they were nothing at all, the planets shrunk into planetismals, and the mighty celestial just smiled through the blackness. The only light that refused the creeping, black beast was the Jace's wrist, which burned like an emerald beacon. It illuminated his shadowy visage, until Tomon emerged from the void. His body had been fully developed now, like a titan standing on his homeworld. His nexus. His weakness?

What the fuck was going on?
"You Really Should Let Loose, Or You'll Never Get Out Of Here,"
-Jace never looked exactly worried; anxious yeah, maybe a little. But Toman's slick tongue folded Jace's apprehensions mighty quick.-
"When I Flapped My Wings, I Sent My Naten All Across The Area As Far As My Wing Beat Reached. Everything That Was Caught Up In It..." He paused, pulling something out of the darkness -- a moon. "... -Of course.. they were in another dimension. Thats why Vescrutia disappeared, that's why he couldn't hear the songs of the Freshwater Sea or look at the ocean of cosmic lights that form over the Alps. His eyes widened to dinner plates, not at the incoming warmoon that grimaced and laughed at him, but at the sudden realization that he actually could cut loose!-

..say less..

-The tiny emerald gleam that was Jace morphed into a blistering beam of light that careened around the incoming projectile like a tie fighter, making sure not touch the moon, cautious of any more alterior affects of his naten. There was a reason Jace hadn't truly explored the extent of Genesis, and now Tomon would learn too. He was a tiny firefly in a sea of nothingness.. until he wasn't. The small amount of emerald energy concealing his wrist detonated in his sandtoned palm and released powerful and luminscent stellar explosion that illuminated every recluse and crevice within the Crystal Hell. The transient, astronomical event could sheepishly be compared to the catastrophic heat of a supernova, which could rival the optical luminosity of an entire galaxy. But the contrast was disrespectful to Genesis. The mysterious source of power was equated to a catalsyt of life, or even the fundamental forces of creation. And this primoridal force could melt through the fleshy membranes of space and time like a blade saundered in hot coals. The explosion made no sound, but the might of it all devoured any opposing vibrations as well. It was just silent.-

Within the 'Crystal Hell', Tomon was met with the force of this 'Genesis' supernova that Jace seemed to be able to generate from himself. The overwhelming amount of naten used made it clear that Tomon didn't have to hold back, either, and that Jace would be able to hold his own.

The 'Genesis' didn't meet Tomon directly nor immediately, mind you, despite how fast, consumptive, and powerful it was. No, instead, it was first striking the celestial construct that was the sharp-eyed moon-meteor that was hurled at Jace only moments prior to his literal outburst. That gave Tomon more than enough cover and time to do what he needed to in order to avoid being struck by suck a force whilst also assessing its power simultaneously. Before the moon was broken up into nothingness, in its shadow, with but a single swift swipe of the arm, Tomon drew forth the cloak of his wing and the reality, itself, as protection from the celestial infernal might. As the moon crumbled to not even ash, the shadow that was Tomon within the shadow was already gone.

The 'Crystal Hell' fell apart rather quickly after that. It hadn't had enough time to stabilize, and it wasn't as large as even a galaxy, -- probably closer toward the size of a solar system -- so the power of a supernova would be more than enough to tear it apart. Though, not an ounce of it poured out of the isolated reality, all of it being contained to the confines of the area that was the Crystal Hell's radius. None of the naten remained, either, meaning all that had just been spent was absorbed into that realm and destroyed along with it.

Tomon's visage was finally revealed once the darkness cleared and the light of the stars returned, his face not in awe nor terror, but snickering in playfulness. "Heheheheh! That's More Like It, Buddy! You Gotta Know When It's Okay To Let Yourself Be Free!" If there was one thing that Tomon -- Tymon -- learned, it was about freedom. Ironic when he seemed to have been confined to his own dimension, but he truly was only forbidden from entering VESCRUTIA'S dimension -- not any others. No, Tymon had spent much of his time traversing the dimensions, alternate realities, parallel universes, the omniverse, and generally anything one could call 'otherworldly'. That was where he got so much of his experience being under the influence of other dimensions' laws and boundaries that he could freely pass through as he pleased. "But I Hear Ya; I'm Just One For Conversation," Tomon said as he unhooked himself from Vescrutia's surface.

Retracting himself into himself with a satisfying, yet disgusting *slurp*, Tomon became a celestial body, himself -- one made of goopy flesh. Globular in appearance, -- though bearing a sloshy swirl -- Tomon was now no different from a moon; a planet even. Before he could disrupt the orbit of each of the rest of the solar system, or even the stars, themselves, Tomon spread his wings from his orb body and flapped gently out of the solar system and into empty space, where he hoped Jace would follow. Though, perhaps Jace would need a bit of incentive from Tomon, himself, Tomon thought. That could and would be done. "Crystal Heaven!" In the same fashion as he'd spread his naten throughout the solar system with a wing flap before, Tomon had done so again when he exited the solar system, leaving the residual energy of an alternate reality that was different from the Crystal Hell -- different, but exactly the same. Instead of discordant resonance, there was harmonic synchronization with the atmosphere that altered reality to that of something paradisal. Though, being harmonic in nature, the 'Crystal Heaven' was not consumptive in a fashion that dictated the removal of what was around it in order to be maintained as an alternate reality. It was more like a synchronized reality, and was now in harmony with all of Vescrutia's solar system, giving Tomon dominion over it all as if it were his own.

The first thing that happened was that the electromagnetic fields of the planetary bodies that orbited the stars were utilized as an attack, sending pulses to Jace that would knock him to and fro about the solar system in a fashion that remained completely in tune with each other. If he were to try to use Genesis again to try to escape the 'Crystal Heaven', he'd find himself sorely out of luck this time around specifically because of the harmonic nature of the reality. It was all around him by the time Tomon was done flapping his wings, and unless Jace escaped Vescrutia's solar system in time, he'd be stuck in yet another reality where Tomon was in control. The parallel reality merged with the original reality was also not completely alternate, meaning that the events that occurred when Tomon released the powerful electromagnetic pulses from the planets would happen on both planes simultaneously, for they were unified. The pulses also did not stop at just the solar system, but released outward into the empty space with a single equinoctial storm of their equalization.
