Verano Desert Desert flats with jagged, cracked sandstone terrain as far as the eye can see. Plants are sparse, water even more so, but what does grow here is hardy and tenacious. Mesas and plateaus dot the horizon with the highest of its namesake piercing the clouds. Bring water.
