Muu
Muu is a continent home to many ruins and hidden magics. The Forest of Resonance protects some of its inhabitants from foul intention with an enchanted mist, hiding untold secrets within. Directly bordering it are the Azure Alps, a mountain range upheaved by a mysterious energy. There is said to be a connection between the sprawling forest and the cataclysmic heights and valleys of the Alps. Acrix Desert holds the ancient magics of the Hellgate Clan and a number of other runic magics to keep the uninitiated lost in the sweltering heat. The Freshwater Sea takes up the continent’s inland border, save for two straits that border it on the north and south connecting Muu to its sibling, Madeira.
Madeira
Directly neighboring Muu, Madeira has interesting geography that gives it distinct weather patterns and natural borders all over the landmass. The tribes found here tend to have a close connection to their homeland, nurturing it and tending to it like a part of their own body. Many Orders of Vescrutia call this continent home, but they tend to keep to their local neighbors. Atlanteans, the aquatic Elvs found in the Freshwater Sea and beyond, have a prickly relationship with ‘landoes’ and are distrustful of them at large, but in the wake of a local tragedy, The Conservatory was founded to foster a better understanding between the land and sea and Vescrutia at beyond. Due to the close relationship between the people and their homeland/sea, some even say the geography has a mind of its own.
B’halia
A continent under the rule of its namesake empire. The Mazoku, led by Akundae, revere Vescrutia and its energy, tapping into it intrinsically. They believe Vescrutia to favor Elvs and the Mazoku above all else as the greatest achievements of Vescrutia’s evolution. They spent ages watching Humans exploit the resources of their land, and waged war against their feeble will and destructive tendencies. Eventually, their conflicts erupted in a crusade that drove all Humans from the continent and united it under the banner of the B’halian Empire. In the millennia since, The Empire has dedicated its work to crafting a more perfect world for their kind, and have launched a campaign to share that ideal with the world. Now, they must go beyond the borders of their nation and save Vescrutia from the Human threat.
Edo
Also known as the Feudal Continent, Edo is a treacherous continent abundant in special ores and resources not found anywhere else on Vescrutia. Because of the special properties of items and tools that can be found in very specific areas, the people of those areas will fight tooth and nail to maintain control of it. It has turned the whole continent into a mystic warzone, where every Tribe has been born and bred to protect their land. This makes travel to and from the continent rare, expensive, and life threatening, as the culture of the island rejects outsiders with vitriol worse than that they hold for their neighbors. The site of Arcturus is a pilgrimage undertaken by only the most fearsome and cunning, sending travelers to the center of the continent for a chance to become enshrined in legend, but in the wake of the Horsemen’s Curse, that site has become a barren wasteland.
Aeon
Southernmost continent where only the hardy and resourceful survive. The Tarkan Plains on the north side of the Hyperion Mountains hold a wealth of the living organisms on the landmass, most of which are sparse grassland vegetation. Diamond Dust holds their headquarters there, having established Cold Frontier as a rest station for lost travelers and weary hunters. The Hyperion Mountains are the site for many sacred places for the Tribes of Aeon, and they hold the members of Diamond Dust in the highest regard. The Hyperion Backcountry is home to the second largest living population on the mostly frozen continent, but they all live in underground city states that have their own culture and economy. They have developed a special technology capable of fully self sustaining underground civilizations, so those who arrive rarely leave. The cities are all run by a single corporate entity, but the residents are said to be some of the happiest in the world.
