The only memorabilia that Axel ignored was the earpiece that sat beeping red on the charger. He couldn’t wait to get into the maps and blueprints that that he had silently copied from Sontmano’s computers. The only problem was he didn’t have a computer of his own yet to read such confidential unexplainable information.
Axel was inside the Golden Lions Den researching how to solve this very problem. Scouring the library he looked for any resource he could find in computing, encryptions and how to break them. Having secured more funds from Isaac, offering a sale that suggested he’d be away for a while, he felt confident he could acquire the components the needed to unlock the information he stole. Unfortunately he would have to battle with his mistrustful nature as he made his way to their laboratory. His curiosity and ambition overriding what little caution he reserved for his secrets.
Walking through the doors at the darkest hour of the night he casually avoided the medical equipment and surgical tables. Eventually finding the computer terminal where they had their data stored he cracked open the case and hardwired the drive he had into an open slot in the mainframe. This was of course only the first step in most of the books he read, the idea of having to explain himself during this process did occur as he realized how intricate of a task this was becoming but this is where he knew trust would have to go both ways.

Re: DeKryption
Clara stepped into the dimly lit lab, her footsteps almost silent against the cold, tiled floor. She had stayed late, as she usually does, to review some experimental results, and was surprised to see the flicker of light coming from the computer terminal. As she approached, she saw Axel's ivory locs hunched over the keyboard, completely absorbed in his work.
She cleared her throat softly to announce her presence, not wanting to startle him. "Axel?" she said in a calm, measured tone, "I didn't expect to see you here at this hour." She said as her eyes casually glanced over his shoulder toward whatever he was gazing at on the computer screen. "..I'm usually the only one here skulking around.. Care to explain?"

Re: DeKryption
This just so happened to be a goal he would spend any secret to accomplish. The light of the screen filled the room as the computer booted up and Axel made himself comfortable at the desk before clicking away to access the main drive and then his own. Saying he was a genius at this stuff would be a lie, but he wasn’t incompetent, and his determination and ambition didn’t let him fail at many things. He was discovering parts of himself in this new technology as well, things he could do that he hadn’t imagined before.
The Sontmano Companies computers were his test subjects for different jutsu and electrical manipulation. They had no idea just what kind of ninja was in their midst, and even though he had a chance to train them in a few of his secrets he had never pulled back the curtain. On the contrary he learned a lot more than he taught in that time, the greedy tactics of the agricultural monopoly was laid bare before his swifter fingers. There was no shadow that Axel didn’t penetrate in that corporation, and he learned that that industrial complex was nothing worth saving. He was reminded of the companies profit margin as he went through the blueprints of their top sales and development projects.
Even the inevitable appearance of the doctor could be barely take his attention at this point. Brushing his hair back over his ear as he heard his name he continued making some final key strokes before sitting back, a few tabs open on the screen of various technological advancements in genetic engineering. Under that there were different advancements in medical potions and other products that the agricultural company Sontmano provided that he thought the doctor would be interested in.
He hadn’t even began to to sort through all of it, they were in the shallow end of the files right now. Axel hadn’t even gotten to the information he was looking for or the encryptions that hid them.
“Alright, so good news first. I got my hands on some information that you could be very helpful. I’m not a medical expert but I saw some amazing equipment at the facility. Sontmano is the biggest agricultural company on the continent, annnnd I snatched one of the hard drives off one of their confidential computer.”
He crossed his arms as he sat in the chair not showing the least bit fatigue in his explanation. On the contrary, he was annoyed at his lack of progress. His fingers hummed with anticipation as he clenched his fist over his cloaked chest. Wearing his fur lined cloak with some comfy silk pajama slacks he waited for the doctor to interpret all the information.
Axel was ready to get to the best part however, the very thing he had been practicing for with every jam session. Quite honestly if he had met Cyrus before it would have been quite the untethered brawl but concurrently he wouldn’t have even tried a stunt like that.

Clara approached Axel, peering over his shoulder at the myriad of tabs splayed across the desktop. Unlike Axel, she was a bona fide expert in medical technology and the biochemistry of countless species. Although botany wasn't her specialty, even a cursory glance revealed groundbreaking developments that piqued her interest more than she cared to admit. The Sontmano Company was a name she recognized—renowned for their super-technological, cutting-edge innovations that had skyrocketed them to the pinnacle of industrial success. Economics wasn't her forte, but she deftly saved several of Axel's tabs with a few swift keystrokes.
"Well, you've certainly been busy." Clara remarked, her voice trailing off as she scrolled through the pages, trying to mask her growing curiosity. "Interesting..." she muttered under her breath, her eyes widening at the sight of intricate schematics and detailed genomic sequences. She suspected he must have acquired this information through less than legal means, though she withheld judgment. In her eyes, trillion-dollar corporations were inherently corrupt, so she wasn't upset that Axel seemed to be challenging them. But what was his motive? What was his connection to this megacorporation? The sensitive and confidential nature of the intel was unmistakable. Was he running from them? Or fighting them?
She remained silent, opting not to pry. Despite her ability to learn about someone's past by healing their injuries, Clara respected privacy. Everyone harbored secrets, especially the newer recruits. "Uhh, yeah.. we'll circle back to this. But C'mon. Erigor has requested our presence in his chambers. He's waking everyone up, so it must be urgent."
She rubbed the sleep from her eyes, bracing herself for what lay ahead. Her eyes were cut and heavy with bags. They barely looked open at all. "If it's not urgent.. him and I are gonna have some words." She said pointedly. There were at least three different surgeries that required Clara's attention tomorrow morning and she was lamenting missing out on her beauty sleep.

Re: DeKryption
Axel would be anxious to get right back to his work in fact after she’d seen enough to let him keep going.
“I still have to find the firewall these bastards hid all their evidence behind. I found this in their security and stashed as much information on it as I could before the facility completely exploded.”
Axel was actually brand new to this type of technology, but he discovered his manipulation of lightning had certain effects on the data in these devices. It happened one night he was upset with Kyra for letting her father cause scores of animals and flora to go extinct for their magical resources. The data he was actually looking for was the geographical data so he could search for their mutated overfarmed animals.
It was a horrific discovery when he found out that they turned the security he trained into near professional soldiers, into terrorists that subjugated their environment into unstable conditions. The CEO took advantage of their training wholeheartedly and used them as a safeguard his dark methods of production.
His tone was frenzied as he spoke, like there was no weight to any of the words he just spoke, or hers. The corruption that he witnessed only furthered his hatred of magic, something he buried so deep he often forgot that it existed. In fact it took a second for him to register her words and realize there was something else garnering her attention. His fingers paused on the keyboard, static tickling the air around his fingertips.
“Erigor is calling a meeting, right now?”
He said with a glance over his shoulder seriously. All Axel promised to do was to help shoulder his burdens, he assumed it was no small feat that he would even bother to remember his name for.
Smacking his teeth he closed his tabs with one tap and locked the hard drives files with another. It was no sleight to the Golden Lion personnel but he wasn’t finished disarming the protocols around the data, a wrong click could cause an accidental formatting or a network connection and ruin his entire element of surprise. Other than that he got up stretched his arms way into the sky, loosening his cramped muscles as he waited for Clara to lead the way. His eyes only gradually loosing the fluorescent hue of reflected screen light.

"Yeah, I'm not too excited about it either.. but it comes with the territory. " She conceded with a small shrug before turning to leave the laboratory with Axel.
"Although, you're gonna' have to catch me up with the whatever you're looking into. I'm given you free access, alright? Just keep me updated with all juicy information you find on biotechnology. Deal? I mean, sure sounds like a good deal to me. "
She said as they strolled down silent corridors. Clara's interest in the Sontmano Company was certain piqued, she just hoped it didn't get Axel into any trouble that could follow him to Helidor. So she'd make sure of it herself and keep a tab on him.

Tightening his cloak around his shoulders he suddenly remembered how tired he was but his mind was still racing out of the datamining frenzy. The biotechnology within their grasp was terrifying, growing and harvesting wings from magical dragonflies and fairies alike. One of their testing locations produced pollen to suffocating proportions, effectively nuking all other plant life in the region and decimating the ecosystem.
“Of course, whenever you’re free to ‘catch up’.”
Watching her figure lead the way Axel took a spliff that had been patiently waiting out of his cloak and placed it between his lips. Contemplating what could possibly be so urgent however lead him arbitrarily thinking of sources of solutions.
“I’ll probably be fetching more data no matter what I’m about to hear.”
He said as before sparking and puffing it lit, he hadn’t asked about the smoking rules but he did wait until he left the medical bay at least.
