The floating eyes still looming over the mountains, continued to flicker about before setting their gaze on Teralok. They began to fill his head with thoughts of hopelessness and madness, creating a prison of his own design- while famine's consciences possessed his body. Her spirit would invigorate him, driving him to assault his teammates.

"You can't hold us back for much longer, can you Hellgate? Your wishful thinking and arrogance have brought ruin to those who trust you;but, you're not blind... You see that your city is in shambles, embers of rebellion smolder beneath your nose...yet still you resist? You adorn armor beside spectors and criminals?

-She questioned in his language as she leaped from her steed-fusing her wispy form with her horse before touching the ground. She landed softly, almost as if she were massless-returning to a more familiar form , a tall woman of stone colored skin and a countless number of hands floating around her.-

"Your city is in ruins and even if you can cling to the flicker of hope that those...people give you, when we raze everything around you to the dust… how will you muster strength?

Behind her back a pair of her hands carried out a series of Muudra.

"How long can their hearts hold out for hope, Hellgate? How long before they blame you?"

The hands ended the signs with a tight clasp of their palms, all the other hands followed in suit.

"Hear no evil."

Her hands shifted about, forming symbols the likes of which no vescrutian being had ever seen.

"See no evil."

A plume of black smoke suddenly began to seep from her beneath her garb, carried by the cold winter winds.

"Speak no evil."

-He couldnt hear a word Nazu said, knowing the folly of his friends intentions only furthered his resolve to shut him out. There simple was no breaking through to Teralok, much like there wasnt any getting through too Nazu about the futility of his action. Without so much as a shread of malicious intent, he effortlessly shoved his companion by the shoulder, sending Nazuma into a darkslit that had manifested beside him. The portal would safely drop Nazu off near the mountain's peek, where Zeik anticipated Famines true intentions lie.-

"Sorry Nazu...I dont wanna lose any of my friends either." He said to the closing dark slit, unsure of Nazu could hear him on the otherside of the portal or not."

"I still cant confidently say I understand how those eyes work." He said dryly into his coms unit. "Teralok resisting ... trying to break free of Famines hold on his mind, it may have even been his intention to let her Aura in...but why?"

"Prior to this moment her words were a dead tongue, but now...clearly she wants me to register this on emotional level, but that only adds to the mystery of using, what i assume, to be her native tongue at all."

-His eyes narrowed to a slit, she had struck a nerve. He couldnt deny the whispers he had been hearing, plenty of the refugees living inside the Astral had grown weary about his ability to protect them from threatens within their borders, let along from those outside of it. Yet, it wasnt her taunt that wounded him, it was her awareness. Where did it come from? Was she spying on them? Or...was this systemic too the Horsemen?-

The tight clasp of her many hands was a dead give away that famine was about to cast a spell, but once he heard the Incantation...his eyes wided in fear filled anticipation. He wasnt even sure what became of her last spell, so he was cautions not to rush her, not to mention Terralok presence pushed the odds in Famines Favor.

"Hear no evil? Why are you trying at?"

He shouted, gripping the hilt of his blade as he watched the plume of black smoke roll in. He scanned the smoke with Origin vision, the plume appeared harmless;but, he wasnt gearing up to take any chances.

To Teralok, the recognition was becoming paramount. His comrade was being excused for just trying to help him overcome the burden he accepted. Teralok did his best to keep the potent wrath of energy down and away from ravaging the emotional complexes of his comrades, but he had to move.

NOOoOoOooooOoooooOoOOOOOOOOOO

He screamed with a ghoulish pain as he pried his foot from the crystal bottle he had turned the mountain into. Shards of crystal and dust exploded from the opening propelling Teralok to glide to the king like he was ignoring friction.

Teralok felt every eye that was screaming from the depths of the stars, even if he didn’t see them. The pressure of being watched, the knowledge that you are seen... Teralok never got enough of it.

The ground fractured beside the racing warrior and purple smoke poured out of the stretching chasm until the boy planted his momentum sliding before he wrapped his hand around the smoke like it was tangible. It clinked as he snatched it out in front of him and a chain began linking down into the depths.

“WEEE”

He whipped it vindictively into the portal letting it go clinking until it reached its target. The warrior’s armor was heavy with anxiety, the eyes staring at him were paving the anticipation of his next move. The chain began sinking until it was pulled taught. They wove his actions like the mountain drops a boulder from its peak and Teralok had actually made this entire field, for his comrades.

ARE

The words came with an avalanche of emphasis as he yanked on whatever was weighted on the end of the chain eventually pulling it back with as much velocity as his twisted torso could muster he spun the end around madly flinging the whole chain at the ghostly visage of the horsemen... most likely hitting Zeik in the process.

FAMIIIIIINNNNNE!!!!!

His comrade or whatever he pulled back out of the portal was sent flying towards his source of frustration. The grounds they stood on reflected the atmosphere with dangerous lucidity. Radically emphasizing the poignant focus of the warriors intention, breaking and reforming its facets to maintain the subtle stability his armor provided. Casting the purple flame of his burning eyes into whatever energy tried to reflect against them.

Thin facets began leaning out of the ground in slices around him to point after the harrowing missile and even keeping the king at bay from backtracking towards the now terrorizing crystal warrior because he had only stopped moving for a second. Grabbing slabs of crystal like cornstalks as he walked and flung 3-4 foot jagged slices of what looked like twisted version of reality as they slid thru the air.

They were aimed at Zeik, whose awareness of the situation seemed to be distracted. With good reason. Teralok had capitalized on the dark energy that was so prevalent in the situation and finally decided to move and... it seemed like a reaction to the King himself.

The hands floating around her body, remained in a fixed position-some called them hand signs, other cultures referred to them as muuda, but the familiarity was clear to any native on the planet. 17 hands silently floated beside her, pulsing with naten and a faint red hue around her hands.

She watched attentively as her now possessed thrall, teralok engaged the Astral King in combat. Which allowed her the time she needed to continue her spell. Her first spell was a summon, a bone golem which she summoned just outside the Acrix solara.

The smoke that seeped from upunder her garments continued to fill the area with a thick and pungent smog. If any of the warriors had eyes to see, they would learn that the smoke, for all intents and purpose, was harmless to organic life. The smog was harmless, but still continued to spread-rising high into the atmosphere and blocking the light of the sun from reaching the now crystaline coated mountain.

"See no evil."

She said in a dual tone that reflected both her native language and the vescrutian language. The likes of which seemed to command the engulfing smog, a strong gust of wind commanded and molded the smog into a large dome like structure. She ignored zeiks remarks, question her as if shed would give insight to her workings. She only respondes with a slight smirk as she carried on with her spell, watching as the smog blackened the entirety of the battlefield. Without the suns light, the crystal covered mountain reflecting the white clouds above would only reflect the blacken emptiness of spacee.

The smog encased both her thrall and her target in a dome of pure darkness, harmless by itself;but, the king wasnt alone.

"See no evil."

She said again, this time each of her 17 hands changed their position.

"???? ?? ????"

She chanted in her native tongue from behind the veil of darkness that the smoke created, the sound of chains clashing and earth crashing seemed muffled from the outside of the dome. She repeated her last encantation, effectively charging the muudra for her follow up.

A chain wisped past his body, admittedly faster than he had expected. The chain, to late to bring Nazu back from the undisclosed location that Zeik and kurai had sent him, struck the mountains side.

Yet in the midst of this, famine, his actually enemy, was reciting the encantation of a spell he hadnt seen or heard before. He knew the nature of the spell was clearly included in its encantation;but, couldnt fathom its potential-nor, did he have time to deliberate. A large boulder was connected to Teralok's chain and hell bent on pulverizing him;but, would find that his Aura would prove sufficient in shattering the boulder upon colliding with his flame Aura. His Aura, a highly condense field of makaian Aura, ignited with his cursed flame, was capable of protecting him from even greater physical trauma;but, that didnt stop a large, flaming claw from rushing out his aura and stopping the boulder.

"Did he try to bring Nazuma back? Is he Sentimental?"

He thought to himself, reflecting on the timing of the chain and how futile striking him with a boulder wouldve been. His eyes found an enemy at every corner, gleaming pupils in the sky and their ominous glare perfectly reflected on the crystal ground below, famine to his right and his ally at his rear. It wasnt his first choice to go into this alone, but knowing what famine does in large groups...he pushed the thoughts from his mind.

He could hear and feel teralok break neck speeds splitting open the mountain, though the Azure alps had plenty to spare, it was still a painful to watch and experience.

"Origin Vision."

He said through gritted teeth, trying to stave away his own wrathful urges. Even without origin active, he had a deep connection to the planet and other people. Though he wouldnt suggest that he understood what teralok was going through, having subcome to Famines Aura;but, he could feel it and pain, especially mental anguish was especially triggering for him.

With his birthrune, origin vision, active his sensitivity to light and sound increased dramatically, allowing him to confirming the smog Famine was releasing was non-poisonous;but, was charged with naten. He needed more time to study the nature of the smog, but as Famine would have it her thrall wasnt allowing it. His eyes instinctively raced to meet the crystal warrior just seconds before...

-He had seen this level of synchronicity before, this near perfect execution of events. Famine was but one of the horsemen that came to kemet that faithful night and leveled the stronghold of the great 13. She used the same technique the, blotting out the minds of the trinities allies and forcing them to do battle. It was this very knowing that forced his hand, forced him to face teralok and the horseman alone. He knew that if need be, famine could command thousands with her mind and still rumble with the trinity. The walls of smoke expanded and darkened the skewers of crystaline earth that Teralok hurled at him, making it difficult to see with the naked eye;but, origin vision didnt depend on light alone to perceive the world around it. Even in the pitch darkness that famine has designed as their battlefield, he could clearly see what terlok planned to do.

With his animus in hand, he slashed at the emptiness in front of him, releasing a cresent of blue, super heated, energy at each of the mounds of crystaline earth. He noticed the light from his cresent seemed dim witin the blackened space, a feat he couldnt quite understand at the moment. His flames burned at incredibly high temperatures and given the perceivable circumference of the dome..

"That shouldve lit up this entire..."

He said aloud with a hint of concern. His colorful eyes beaded about in the dark. He waited to see if his attack destroyed the slabs of crystal, he expected his attack would;but, only time could give honest feed back.

Her words were quite triggering when she used her native tongue, the sound of it alone brought up painful memories, the kind that only appear when you're alone with you and your thoughts. However, this time her words seemed to erase those same feelings.

He began to feel happy, carefree, and above all...safe. a sensation that shouldve been foreign given the mood of the room;but, when he repeated the encantation in his head, the feelings of ease persisted. This stirred something inside of him, the likes of which almost threw his composure to the wind. Those who knew him loosely, knew him to always be calm under pressure, those who knew him well wouldnt speak about the times he lost his composure.

His free hand began twitching, rapidly shifting from one muudra to the next as his eyes into the pitch blacl void, fixed on famines position despite the veil of darkness between them.

The black smog ensnarled the warriors in a fog of war, a type of spatial spell that aloted them a quasi-infinite area in which they could do battle. Her adversary, the reluctant king, was often quick too respond. Explosive on both temper and instinct, but he didnt resist being captured? She boiled his actions down to arrogance, perhaps even ill-equiped. He was lacking the prismatic glint in his eyes.

She neared the end of her spell, though by now neither zeik nor teralok could hear her. The Fog of war was a blight to their senses, suffocating the sense of sight, sound and lastly speech. Though, the fog of war wasnt connected to her incantation. Her chant sought to invoke the spirit of deceit, the prince of treachery and the Queen of lies. Together, with the seeds of adam planted so deeply into the soil, thanks to qualm of brothers, she'd find casting the subterfuge to be an easy task.

"It isnt without consciousness that we move against this planet."

The blot of smoke that encased the two brothers stretched, bulged and warped its shape ad the warring brother clashed. All the while planting the seeds of adam deeper into the mountain soil.

"Hear no evil." She chanted while also speaking to the black void. "I created this spell when i was closer to what you are now, when i was faced with what you challenge now. Vividly, no matter the centuries of distance, i can see the day i saw it. The day i saw, with my own eyes, where evil lived."

The eyes looming over them, coaxing the sky in a sea of observer's, narrowed their gaze at famine below. Cracks began to appear in the gray-stone like complexion of her skin;but, quickly healed by unclear means.

He felt cold. An experience he rarely, if ever had to endure. Even without his mastery of the arcane or his skill in pyromancy, he rarely felt a chill. Control was his strongest skill, if the human life could be simplified to such. Calmly he stared into the void, his eyes piercing through the darkness looking for Terralok counter attack, but...he found only emptiness.

"Thats...impossible."

He said with great concern. His words echoing feebly through the void, dissipating into the expanse faster than he could finish his sentence.-sizzling into a whisper. His pulse quicked as the presence of fear reared its head, weighing its mighty paw on his shoulders. Cloaked in the entirety of void, its presence rapidly filled the space, seemingly pushing zeik's thoughts out of his head.

In a flash he felt nothing, heard nothing, and save from the reflectiong of origin vision gleaming on his palms, he saw nothing.

"..what am I doing?"

He thought to himself as he noticed his hands using a sequence of unfamiliar hand signs, he stared at them, blankly for a time;before, he noticed he was mouthing something. He couldnt hear what he was saying, not even within his mind. Puzzled. Afraid. Angry.

He cycled through these feelings rapidly as he tried to...make sense of this madness. Why couldnt he hear himself think, who was he fighting? His hands ended in a clap, the sound of it breaking the silence he'd been experiencing.

"Evil"

The first words to fill the silence after his hands clasp together almost sent him back into worry, but...

" is here, vast and plenty."

Hearing it aloud for the first time illuminated the expanse of darkness that Famine had sealed him inside.

"Evil is here, vast and plenty."

He said. Repeating the incantation with his combined focus.

The observers floating above narrowed their gaze at the black sphere that encased The Astral king and his Knight.

"Speak no -"

The sea of observer's that filled the sky above her started showing signs of stress, thick, vibrant veins began to bulge before they each lost focused. Their pupils rolling to the back of their eyes.

"...."

She paused her incantation. Confused by what was disturbing the observers. "I was nearly done with the First Subterfuge." She asked the air, her eyes now gleaming with anger;but, before she could receive an answer or even pursue futher. The shell of darkness that sealed Zeik inside began to crack. Her eyes raced from the sky in disbelief, catching the spread of the tear in her spell.

"Impossible..."

She stepped closer, her many arms folded cross her chest, covering her torso and face. Towering over the spehere, she curiously investigated the cracks in her spell and even more causally
observed the observed still spazzing above her.

"Not in a thousand worlds has a warrior..."

She stepped back from the sphere and formed a circular shield made of the arms that floated around her.

-His eyes, still pulsing with the radiant hue of Origin vision, widened in horror. Before he had time to process what he had seen, it was gone, leaving only the black emptiness of the prison Famine had crafted for him.

He blinked, distracted from his plight by the mere flicker of an unfamiliar face in a stone building. He pushed it to the back of his mind and glared into the empty abyss that was set before him. A luxury hed only just realized had returned to him. His thoughts, he could hear them and just off in the distance he could see a faint speck of light.-

"A hym from my childhood, but why would it be so deeply ingrained in my muscle memory? Could...my mother had known id be in this situation."

-His fingers were locked in a seal, but his eyes wondered, shifting through the darkness for a glint of what he'd seen a moment a go;but, as they wandered he couldn't help but think of teralok.-

"I dont have time to process what this spell is, i have to break out of here. Who knows what turmoil teralok is suffering through."

"Evil is here vast and plenty. Evil is here vast and plenty"

His words, now his own conscious doing, filled the void with light, dispelling the containment that famine sought to ensnare him and his mind controlled comrade in;but, his light only pressed against the black void, never quite breaking the containment.

"..Famine must be resisting outsi-"

His eyes caught an unfamilar glint, this time of a vision of several companions laughing oround a square table. Flashes of faces, places and scenes began overlapping one another.

"...I dont understand what, let along why im seeing this;but, they feel like memories."

The shards shattered as Zeik attacked them but they continued on their course past him. He would notice even the slabs of crystal that he didn’t hit would keep going as well and eventually would position themselves on the edges of the dome floating. They would only reflect the vivid energy inside however, each one flicking to a different source closest to its rotating position. Teralok continued his slow march to where the chain fell and picked it up, then, even though the darkness was palpable, every shard reflected its unnatural glow.

It left Teraloks hand quickly and the rest followed, there was evil all around and there was only one cause of it. All of a sudden there were hundreds of images of chains floating around that propelled themselves at the ghoulish visage of the horsemen. The chains wrapped around her until there was no more left of her to see.

“We. ARE. Evil”

Teralok began weaving signs intimate to his troublesome past and a cracking sound accompanied each pose. The chain linked into ground began glowing and the warriors feet began sliding towards the mass of chains. Using every mental link he had he cracked the crystal armor and it was attracted towards the crackling twisted pile of chains of chains like a supermagnet.

His white hair broke the darkness of his visage first and his energy flared once more as his feet dropped out of the pull of the magnetic jutsu. This time it was the gold color of his eyes that brightened the ground, and with another breath Teralok tightened the crystal with a symbol of the same color on the inside now the outside of the armor. His stance gathering the forces beneath him in sync with such a seal, bounding it with the energy that had been building below him. Golden fumes radiated from the ground as it returned to normal beneath his feet, and as it collected in his palms the handle of his animus formed from it.

Sigils radiated around him as the blade burst into existence and kept expanding as the store of crystal energy manifested his spear animus into an oversized lance. The amount of concentration Teralok was maintaining was no less than passionate, he had been building this technique in the darkness of the armor since the horseman began its negative influence on his comrades. Sacrificing his actions to mask his intentions he had been gradually transforming the battleground into his personal device. The weapon was twice its original length and as round as a great shield at its base. With the weight of it now Teralok would actually have to incorporate his seismic skills to move it as fast as he wanted. Of course being the instinctual creature that he was he stepped into the stance he would need to strike his intended target. Sealed or not Teralok would begin amassing enough vibrations to be able to pierce every thing in his path. His hair would begin to float as the air itself began to hum, the resonance of his animus finally clearing away every other influence except one. He couldn’t remember when it started nagging at the edge of his mind but it was clearer now.

“Evil is here. Vast and plenty.”
