"Heh... hehe haha..."
Ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous. To shoulder the weight of such a mighty blow as if it was nothing. Remarkable. Inari had met his match, in truth that might have even been a flattering assumption. It was very possible that he had met a foe beyond his current skill. The bounds of his magical abilities were still aloof to him against a for who his blood and energy could not permeate how was his to succeed? He was beginning to see his naivety.
"I tried to tell you before we got here Inari"
The spirit snickered much to Inari's irritation. He did tell him there were members of the family that were his total opposites. He never imagined a being with such potent defensive abilities. This entire time he has merely evaded or just completely withstood his attacks. No matter how clever he might think himself to be if he lands an attack and it doesn't damage his target then all his tricks were for naught.
"This here is what I've been trying to explain to you. What you are witnessing here is the difference between learning your powers through wild encounters and being raised within a community where you are cultivated and groomed entirely around your culture. You have no knowledge of the Hellgate yet you joined this contest purely to showboat. You thought you could fling your magic around and use the abundance of naten you possess to overwhelm your opponent. That clearly here, is not the case..".
He said nothing, he could not deny the accountability before him. He knew nothing of the community he had always been alone, shunned, and isolated. Meeting his mother availed nothing but partial truth and left him with more questions than answers. His abilities were unrefined, and his fighting style and execution were barbarous. Apparently, this was not the Myotis way, but what would he know of any of that?
"You think of this as I'm unaware?! That is the entire reason I am here the entire reason I am fighting!"
"WHAT IS THAT REASON THEN INARI?! WHY ARE YOU HERE WHY ARE YOU FIGHTING?!
At this moment the force of the blast had eradicated the cloud and the full brunt of Kyrin's light ensnared him. As he was wrapped in the moon's light his exhausted demeanor would begin to fade completely. He stood completely upright his fangs grew larger, and his claws sharper and elongated as well. His eyes swelled with frustration gritting his fangs as his body began its umbral change. Vampirism, a trait the Myotis elvs had. When exposed to moonlight their powers were increased exponentially. As was the threat to their sanity. They became faster, and stronger and they're the naten in their blood more lethal than ever. Inari clenched his chest, he was so agitated. The trial of the maze had shown him so much, he hadn't even had the time to metabolize much of it. What he did know is that no matter what he needed to find his people. Why? well... because
I FIGHT....I FIGHT FOR THE FAMILY I WAS DENIED!
His hand over his ava, the second heart that all Myotis possed. A separate organ whose blood was well endowed with naten. Activated by the thrill of the lunar light this blood began to course through him rejuvenating him back entirely. The fatigue of the maze's effects no longer hindered him. He might as well be brand new. Aerys was just now climbing out of the hole. Not a single mark upon him.
"Finally...the truth comes out. When this contest began you acted as if it was the Myotis who needed you instead of the other way around. Do not underestimate the longest surviving family in the Hellgate name. There was no war that had been won alone. Let me help you Inari, for I to have a vow to keep..."
"Talk about a bag'o tricks, mate. I don't think I've ever had this much fun waiting for something to happen."
"To stand by your side, to pick you up when you fall short...not just because I promised your mother. But because well...I, after all, we've been through together, I've kinda taken a liking to you. I truly believe you will be the one to break Myoti's curse. So I will fight with you, after all... We're friends right?"
The dazzling azure light of Kyrin
coalesced around him. His eyes watered but no tears would fall. A friend? None sense... ever since he awoke on this god-forsaken rock he had spent his time searching for a means to understand his heritage, his power so that he could dominate it as well. His hunger kept him separate from any life he would harm, the nature spirit The Wood saw to his isolation. Though he had to admit, ever since he consumed that half-orc mercenary his views on companionship had...evolved. Everyone and everything had served as mere tools for his ambitions. He never once stopped to think about how anyone perceived him, he never cared. But Amrit...Amrit was a reflection of his soul, their bond was something different, ethereal. Over the last year, they had overcome many trials and carved Inari's desires into every battle and opposition he came across. Did he view him as a friend? He could tell the spirit meant his words, their bond prevented them from hiding anything from each other. Inari could barely believe what he was about to say, but perhaps it was time for him to learn the power of community. Facing a foe together...as one.
"Fine spir-Amrit, you win...let us face him, together"
He thought. Aerys was now in the air. Truly he was unbreakable, in not only body but mind as well. Maybe... Amrit felt the jury was still out on that. Inari could not see the depths of his power, but his familiar who had witnessed countless lifetimes before knew very well what a Myotis in moonlight could do. As the light circulated around him his birth rune would gleam.
"Magus..."
The merging of souls, the sharing of a mind and a body. One would not know where Amrit began and Inari ended. They were now a singularity. Seconds passed and a
burst of blue energy would reveal
Inari. The pressure of his awakening could be felt for miles. So thick and intense he could scarcely contain it. His eyes were blazing with energy while behind him were three white fox tails. Inari's birth rune, Progenitors Aria, allowed him to access the occult knowledge and martial wisdom of its passed user, in this case, Inari's mother who had a rather unique magical ability. Aside from being a powerful water caster, she could cause her blood to mirror the pull of the moon's grasp on the waves. With the intention of "pulling" naten from her targets. A gift she shared with her child whose own power blood now became endowed with the energy of the moon reflecting its pull.
"Whoa.. you alright, mate?"
Their eyes now met, and his stance was still the same as it was when they first encountered each other at the beginning of this fray. Undaunted, unperturbed. He could not shatter him, but he could force him to use every drop of power he had, forcing his well to run dry.
"Inariel, Inariel Myotis Hellgate. My name, warrior.
He did not give it when they first began he would surely give it now. Aerys was not a foe he would soon forget. He was both an unstoppable force and an Immovable object. Inariel refused to concede, the encounter was reaching its climax. One of them would relent. From under Inariel's feet, a
pool of azure blood would quickly gather. His left hand would rise and a
current of blood would mirror this motion rising and arching over him. His left hand would close and as it did 2 pillars of blood would rise and morph beside him forming two clones of him. Each possessed one tail. All had wings. One of the Inari's arms would liquify morphing into bloody
tendrils. The Other one's fist swelled ripe with a different kind of energy it was greenish in hue increasing his fist size to that of a basketball.
" Vsal' Kaneu"
It rolled off his tongue with the grace of a smooth note, a tune that prompted his doubles to action. It is known that the Myotis can command their blood via sound, their true power comes, when they sing...
They accosted Aerys, the first "Inari" in a hairline of a second appeared in Infront of Aerys, his tendril aiming to wrap itself around his neck the other one from above his hand radiating a deep green flare coming down on Aerys with an overhead smash. The "Inari" with the torrent of blood around him could be seen whisking his hands about while uttering a series of words in a langue the Tyre would not recognize. The blood followed his movements its nature shifting and morphing into something unknown. The same greenish hue from one of the Inaris began to endow the blood he was controlling as it slowly began to harden. Just what was he planning?
