Tribes, Traits, and Anthems: Who You Are

Post by Ves »

On Vescrutia, your Tribe, Traits and Anthems make up much of your character's background. They are the core of who they are and what they're capable of. Your character's Tribe determines their Anthem, the birthright ability granted to all naten aware Vescrutians. Though each Tribe shares the same Anthem, it's expression in each individual is different. Anthems typically translate to a Bea Class Arbiter, skills that can be used with simple intent by the user.

Each Tribe also has a set of Traits specifically available to them. If the Tribe you select has more than three traits, at level 1, your character selects three to start with, and can gain access to the rest one by one in their threads

Explore the Encyclopediatlas to learn about the different Tribes that make up our setting and the Anthems and Traits available to them.

The Traits associated with your Factions and Arbiters serve a very important role in encounters and combat. Each Trait has a specific stat associated with it, which gives you the ability to Invoke them in response to Arbiters or other challenges that may arise in your threats. When Invoked, the level of the stat associated with that trait is divided by 10, rounded to the nearest whole number, and added to the value of your roll.
